I propose:
1) a limited number of visas per country, number to be determined with prudence
2) the quota for any country is cut by the number of its overstaying visitors, cumulatively
3) any act of terror committed by a visitor results in draconian cuts in his/her country’s quota, to a diplomatic minimum
That puts the onus on countries to self-police, and it would put Saudi Arabia on the no visitors list until the next century, I think.
I find it hard to believe that Dick Cheney is really this clueless.
Religious freedom? Islam does not allow other religions to exist in countries they control.

Trump is right on this. Ban Muslims from entering this country. They are incompatible with all other religions, thus all other cultures.
There is no reason we should have to accommodate them at the expense of ourselves, or any other religion, or culture. Their demands are unacceptable, and outrageous.
