Congressman Stephen Lynch (D- MA) was one of 47 Democrats who joined with Republicans to support a GOP bill to tighten screening requirements for "Syrian refugees." I happen to think this is moot since the FBI Director has made it crystal clear we can screen all we want, but since there is no intelligence to refer back to, the process will yield unreliable results. That aside, Lynch is speaking out on his lack of confidence in the Department of Homeland Security as well as the Transportation Security Administration. On Tuesday, during an interview on Boston Public Radio, Lynch stated:
---------
Back in August, we did an investigation--the inspector General did--of the Department of Homeland Security, and they had 72 individuals that were on the terrorist watch list that were actually working at the Department of Homeland Security. The director had to resign because of that. Then we went further and did and eight-airport investigation. We had staffers go into eight different airports to test the department of homeland security screening process at major airports. They had a 95 percent failure rate. We had folks--this was a testing exercise, so we had folks going in there with guns on their ankles, and other weapons on their persons, and there was a 95 percent failure rate.
-----------
Six dozen DHS employees are on the terror watch list and the TSA has a 95% failure rate. No further comment is needed. The numbers speak for themselves. (And one can only wonder how the announcement of the TSA failure rate may encourage terrorists to up the ante with respect to air travel.)

No surprise!
We have to wonder if the 72 is just the tip of the terrorist iceberg in DHS, FBI, NSA, White House, DOD and State Department, ???
There is another with which I guess you are unfamiliar: The American way. This was written for illegal aliens, but similar principles could be applied to terrorists:
Step 2: For every alien in the US who entered legally and obtained a visa, put the following data online: their photo, country of origin, last known address, stated purpose of entry, place of entry, entry date, and visa, green card, etc. expiration date... Aliens have no expectation of Fourth Amendment protections.
Step 3: Put a bounty on illegals and terrorists with a Congressional letter of marque and reprisal. You'll find that in Article I, Section 8. Institute any necessary additional laws that criminalize harassing a legal alien or citizen with heavy penalties for false arrest.
Step 4: Put instructional materials on the web to teach the people how to make a legal arrest: standards of evidence, procedural requirements, humane treatment, how to stay safe... the whole bit.
Step 5: Effect online testing for certification as a Deputy Marshall toward supporting citizens in effecting Steps 2-3. Step 6: In the case of naturalized Muslim terrorists, upon a finding by a court, strip their citizenship and deport them to their country of origin.
Step 7: In the case of American born citizens practicing or advocating Islamic terrorism, they must be tried as traitors.
Who was the “director” who had to resign?
DHS has a secretary. It was Napolitano, is now Johnson. Johnson hasn’t resigned, to my knowlege.
Something here doesn’t make sense. Probably just lousy reporting.
I ended up on a watch list due to two reasons.
1. Two very common Anglo Saxon names, first and Surname.
2. A guy with the same first and last names and middle initial living in the same city, has a vile loud mouth liberal wife from the NE. She has mouthed off so much, she really can’t fly anymore, nor can he if she is with him.
My wife, a very fair skinned blonde ended up on watch lists for two reasons.
1. She has used her Middle name not her first name since grade school and after 9/11 since that didn’t match her SS and driver’s license data, that raised flags. That has been corrected.
2. Her mother has so severe health problems, and she had to fly back to her mother’s with tickets bought that day or the day before, and she had no return tickets as she didn’t know how long that would take.
3. Being married to me, see above, complicated her problems re flying.
The above has been corrected. However, now we don’t want to fly with the airport hassles.
...and they owe taxes, I bet.
Their records were sealed and put in the same impenetrable vault as Obama's records...
Golly, I guess tolerance does trump self-preservation in todays USA. /barf
"....I'm betting same vetting process to fly drones too"
Wondering how many are embedded within our Armed Forces?
How many at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue?
Probably a bunch more buried in the administration and other government positions, appointed and confirmed, that have Muslim Brotherhood ties. Case in point Uma Abbedine or whatever the hell her name is.
Oh, now that's funny stuff you got there.
:)
Every day I get angrier and angrier at the voters who allowed him a second term.
You’re quite the optimist, aren’t you?
I think the so-called moderate Muslims actually cheer them on.
So, can we assume the 72 identified people on the terror watch list were fired ?
I am very doubtful that they have been fired. I am fairly confident that they are:
a) on administrative leave with full pay and pending confirmation of claims
b) have been transferred to some other agency in civil service as demanded by the union
