Yes.

Liberals should not be able to erase the dark history of progressivism.

It would be fine with me if Princeton completely consumes itself with PC navel gazing.

Like it or not he was elected POTUS and deserves recognition for that, if nothing else.

There have been only 44 elected ,only 44,so honoring them is appropriate in spite of their other faults.

.

Let’s complete the wonderful work being done by these students.
1) Purge black faculty members
2) Purge Roman Catholic faculty members
3) Purge Jewish faculty members
Make the college just like it was before Wilson instituted all these awful changes!

Yes.

WW was a...jerk. (Sometimes my mom reads my posts!) He pushed Eugenics and did a great deal of damage to the USA making my list of the top ten worse presidents of all time.

But even more then I dislike him I dislike the idea of rewriting history.

He was the President of the USA and of Princeton. He is a major part of the history of both.

Wilson signed the Federal Reserve act early in his Administration and in fact had been working on it for at least a year prior, in league with Congressman Carter Glass.

The Federal Reserve set in motion Government and political control over the most important commodity of all - Money. People rage against socialized medicine, food distribution, or energy policy - but seem to have quietly accepted total political control over the supply and printing of money and creation of debt.

This first step was the foundation of all progressive/left government.

"Wilson's record was deplorable on other fronts as well. In 1919 and 1920, Wilson's Attorney General A. Mitchell Palmer conducted extensive raids that led to mass arrests and deportations of radicals in the aftermath of the First World War."

Deplorable ? This was the best thing done during his regime. We could do with some Palmer Raids today on our college campuses.

He was at Princeton, he should remain at Princeton. Just as Marsh Robert should remain on Stone Mountain. I am not comparing the two.

Oddly enough, as a theater maven, I remember that the young Princetonian, Eugene O'Neill, drunk and disorderly, threw bottles of booze at Wilson's abode in Princeton. He was down on him for not being a socialist. Funny how this exceedingly dull town has suddenly become a hotbed of activity. Every time I visit there to go to the bookstore, I'm amazed at it's sleepy, narcoleptic atmosphere.

Nowhere in the story is it noted that Wilson was a DEMOCRAT...

This is opposite of the game played with Lincoln where he is rarely referred to as a Republican.

Princeton has earned Woodrow Wilson. They're stuck with him now.

If Universities want to be consistent, many of them would have to drop their names.

Let’s take YALE for instance.

The school was named after ELIHU YALE, a slave owner and in fact, a slave trader. What are they going to name it? Hillary Clinton University after their illustrious alumni? Yeah, that’s the trick.

How about Stanford University, named after Leland Stanford? He was well known for being anti-Chinese immigration and well known for defending caucasians as the “superior” race.

January 1862, Stanford said, “The presence of numbers of that degraded and distinct people would exercise a deleterious effect upon the superior race.”

His statement was initially received with widespread enthusiasm, and Stanford was lauded as a defender of the white race. Public opinion shifted when it was revealed that Stanford’s Central Pacific Railroad had recruited and imported thousands of Chinese laborers to construct the railway track.

So, how to rename Stanford University? Hmmm... Moonbeam University (yea, that’s the ticket ).

Although Ronald Reagan University would be better... :)
