After Attack, Republicans Keep Hammering Planned Parenthood

Its been just a few days since a shooter killed three people and wounded nine others at a Planned Parenthood clinic in Colorado Springs, and Republicans have already resumed their baseless accusations against the group.

Carly Fiorina has determinedly promulgated the claim, first advanced by the Center for Medical Progress in its deceptively edited videos, that Planned Parenthood sells “body parts” from fetuses.

Donald Trump, in characteristically garbled fashion, appeared both to acknowledge that some claims about the videos were false and to cite the videos as a potential motive for violence.

Meanwhile, in the House, conservatives say they are forging ahead with their plan to subject Planned Parenthood to a Benghazi-style investigation.

Putting Planned Parenthood out of business for good and all is considered to be a good policy move by Republicans. That one deranged person went beserk and shot up one facility, though, is just not on the list of approved strategies for encouraging the closure of these “clinics” (really slaughterhouses for the not-yet-born), and this does exceed, by quite a bit, the legal methods available.

We are dealing with a person who is definitely not wrapped any too tight, and the frayed edges were causing a most disastrous internal short-out of the neural circuits.

When we get back to “crazy control, as opposed to “gun control”, we might be getting a handle on the “senseless violence” that seems to torment the minds of the persons unable or unwilling to confront real solutions.

The graphic video of a "fully formed fetus... its legs kicking" appears in episode 3 of a multi-part documentary produced by the Center for Medical Progress (CMP). This video shows former tissue procurement specialist Holly O'Donnell describing how she was shown an intact fetus with a beating heart. O'Donnell says of this moment, "I don't know if that constitutes it's technically dead, or it's alive." O'Donnell was then asked to harvest brain tissue from the same fetus by cutting through its face.

As O'Donnell narrates her gruesome experience, the video shifts to 10 seconds of a fetus in a metal bowl which is still moving.

But did this shooter actually “target” ANYONE at the Planned Parenthood facility? AS I understood it, he was outside and began shooting, and several of his victims were shot while outside. He didn’t target planned parenthood itself, he was attacking random people at location that included several stores AND a planned parenthood abortion clinic.

Plus, we don’t know how people were shot by police.

Good for Republicans, Planned Parenthood is a blight on this nation's morality. Violence is not appropriate, but Mr. Dear sounds like a mentally disturbed person, not a right wing evangelical Republican that Planned Parenthood, Democrats, The President, feminists, and the anti-gun crowd want to make him out to be.

I personally want to know more about where the people were shot (inside or outside of PP), where Mr. Dear was when he started shooting (the Kroger?, bank, or PP) and finally what he was shooting a MAK-47 or a pump action shotgun.

I don't like it that all the records have been sealed. Still, I believe that the truth will get out eventually on what really happened.
