Pro-Life leaders are furious with presidential hopeful Dr. Ben Carson for his comments yesterday that pro-life rhetoric is partially responsible for the shootings that took place in Colorado last week.
On CBSâs Face the Nation Sunday morning, Carson said, âHateful rhetoric exacerbates the situationâ¦You donât ever solve them [problems] with hateful rhetoric. Both sides should tone down the rhetoric and engage in civil discussion.â
On ABCâs This Week Carson said, âThereâs a lot of extremism coming from all areas. We get into our separate corners and we hate each other, we want to destroy those with whom we disagree.â
In exclusive interviews with Breitbart News, a number of national pro-life leaders condemned Carsonâs statements.
Troy Newman, president of Operation Rescue and a board member at the Center for Medical Progress, said, âDoctor Carson just ended his presidential candidacy.â

Basically, he is irrelevant in the calculus now. Pay him no nevermind.
Not ready for Prime Time.
Dead man walking
He is done. I’ll never vote for him.
His alliance with Karl Rove is already paying off.
Carson’s numbers will go to zero now.
HUGE mistake.
Weird how PP has established the theme that they were attacked, when the shootings started at the chase Bank.
Nine people were shot.
Where were they shot? When were they shot?
Where did the police officers respond first?
Where we the people who were shot located at the time they were shot?
Not one news organization, including FoxNews, has asked or answered those questions.
They just went with attack on PP theme and ran with it since Friday.
And PP is loving it.
And Ben, drop out now while you still have some dignity and can sell some books.
we want to destroy those with whom we disagree.â
...go take a hike Carson! The only side that consistently wants to destroy those that disagree are the liberals.
he lost to PC
Hey Doc!
Our “rhetoric” has been aimed at the butchers selling baby body parts.
We have a RESPONSIBILITY to speak out to end this GOVERNMENT FUNDED atrocity!
We are NOT responsible for this NUT!
As far as I can tell he had absolutely no affiliation with anyone in the pro-life movement.
He was just some nutcase. None of the people he shot were associated with PP. The remarks he made were after the fact, he just happened to hole up in the clinic.
Well, he is no longer a candidate for the Republican Nomination. He might as well drop out and save his campaign money.
Dr. Carson’s base surely will not be happy.
In this cycle, I've never found anybody I consider worthy of the Presidential office except Cruz.
Plan Parenthood wasn't killing babies their. It was a grain storage facility.
That was a mistake, Dr Carson.
He is the next Colin Powell.
