Donald Trump, as many people on the left and even some on the right agree, is undoubtedly and intentionally making controversial remarks on cultural, racial and religious issues.
But what's emerged as the more complicated question is whether Trump's supporters agree with all of his remarks. Are at least some of Trump's backers, as many liberals argue, racist or intolerant? In interviews, Trump supporters often say they like the mogul's blunt approach, that he "tells it like it is," without always detailing what "it is" that Trump is explaining so clearly.
In some ways, the Trump question is an extension of the debate over the last seven years about what drives the intense opposition on the right to President Obama. Some liberals, particularly at the height of the Tea Party's influence in 2009 and 2010, argued that conservative movement was a reaction to the election of a black president.
Members of the Tea Party angrily rebutted these charges, arguing they disagreed with Obama's policies and were not motivated by racial animus.
Pollsters, while not directly querying Trump supporters about their views on racial issues, have asked a number of questions over the last few months that help explain the perspectives of Trump's base. Here's what they've found:
1. Trump supporters are nearly all white, like the supporters of the other GOP candidates.
Most national polls and polls in Iowa and New Hampshire of the GOP field don't even include breakdowns of voters by race. Why? About 90 percent of Republicans are white, as are more than 90 percent of people in Iowa and New Hampshire, the two states where much of the polling of the GOP field is done.
Trump supporters are overwhelmingly white, but this does not distinguish them at all from Republicans who back other GOP candidates.

Black Pastors Expected to Endorse Donald Trump
I haven’t watched every Trump speech, but I’ve never heard him say anything about race except “I love Mexicans,” “I’m going to get the Hispanic vote,” and “I’m going to get the black vote.” The only reason media are assuming his supporters are racists is because they’re mostly white. Nowadays white = automatic racist. So there’s nothing Trump supporters can do to convince anyone they’re not racist. They can’t change their skin color!
The GOP field of candidates is far more diverse than the lily white Democrat Socialists running for president this time around.

Carson is the only one having black ancestry. ...If you’re thinking of Rubio or Cruz, they are of European ancestry and are white.
Yup, 60 days until voting starts and the globalist ruling class (GRC) is in full blown panic mode. The GRC will use every venue every day to attack Donald Trump. Every gun in their considerable arsenal will be aimed at Trump until they take him down. Trump terrifies the GRC because he is an honest patriot what wants to do what is best for America, unlike the current professional political class in DC that does what is best for the GRC.
Jindal is East Indian.
Cuba is not Europe.
There is no such thing as a quote, Hispanic race, unquote. It is a strawman invented by so called liberals. That term has been applied to those from individual South American countries some of which have governments hostile to US and actually claim parts of this country as theirs, and others which are friendly. They are composed of various races as we are, with the difference being their primary common language is Spanish.
This destructive utopian Mexican open border approach of even considering granting those who enter the US illegally through it. Entitlement to all benefits beyond those of what we give to our citizens destroys the value of an American citizenship. It is being promoted by the name callers mostly in socialist circles such as the democrat party as well some republicans who use such terms as nativist promoting racial division .
What we should be doing is taking a very very hard look at our relationship with Mexico along with trade and its myriad misstreatment of Americans as 3rd class citizens and its claims on American territory . There is no doubt there are hundreds of complaints, if not thousands, from American citizens who have retired there. Along with travelers running to American consulates about conditions that are going unreported because of this Mexican policy
While we are expected to allow Mexican citizens enter to our country illegally and offer them preferential treatment over our citizens allowing them to purchase land in their own name and and even voting privledges which they cannot do if they choose to retire in Mexico.
The leading Republican candidates and that includes Trump may mention some of this but thus far have refused to identify the problem let alone properly redress it by suggesting or implementing reciprocity.
Since the Mexicans are permitting foreigners transit through their country for illegal entry into ours. Any person entering illegally through that open border whether a bona fide citizen of Mexico or not should be treated as if they were a Mexican and tossed back to Mexico and let Mexico deal with them. Illegals should be offered the same rights as Americans. No property ownership and voting rights let alone access to the multitude of costly programs comm9ng out of US taxpayer pockets.
If reciprocity were implemented there would be no need to worry about who will pay for walls or border fences.Illegals would leave on their own accord . And the value of being an American citizen restored.
You should have put the pumpkin pie in her face, THEN went home to a good movie.
The comments by the abc readers were horrific, all white Christians are racists and need to leave the country.
I am not White.
BHO being the pro at this alinsky tactic, his failure in Syria and across the globe have caused the refugee crises and he blames R's for not helping him out with all these displaced people, displaced by him for being a coward, or was it on purpose?
This is BS. I suspect from reactions to bringing up Trump’s name, that he has lots of support, maybe most or all, that could care less about race. Nothing in his past eve remotely suggests he has any cares about race.
The world’s tribing up. White people are just arriving late to the party.

It’s not complicated. If you’re white and suspected of being a conservative then the Media and most of the political class together with their community-activist cronies call you a “racist” and “hater” to your face. If you get slandered enough, you eventually figure “scr3w it” and go with it. This, IMHO, is what is feeding Trump’s popularity. He calls the Liberal/Media/Social Muckrakers for what they are — and we cheer him for it.
At least some Trump supporters are bound to be racist. With so many supporters, a complete absence of racists would be a miracle.
This is a sharp contrast to Obama, where the overwhelming majority of his supporters started out racist and have become even more racist.
Obama has racist supporters who think blacks do not have the "intellectual wherewithal" (I wish I could remember which democrat said that a couple decades ago) to compete with whites, so they need extra help.
Obama has racist supporters who think whites are guilty of crimes committed more than 160 years ago, and that they have this guilt because of the color of their skin.
Obama has racist supporters who only voted for Obama because he is partly black.
I would guess around 1% of Trump supporters are racist, while 80% or more of Obama supporters are racist.
I think I have watched almost all his speeches. I’ve never seen him say anything “racist.”
We have a “press” that denies that babies are living human beings, that Obama’s “birth certificate is a crude, ridiculous forgery, and that Obama is a vicious anti-Semite and anti-Christian. So of course Trump is a “racist.”

BLA bla bla bla.........................................
I don't agree with that statement, except in a relative measurement sort of way.
Back then there were only three TV news organizations, and they were all measured relative to each other, not measured relative to the truth of their reports.
It wasn't until Rush appeared on the scene that the element of truth was included in the publics judgment of how 'prestigious' these news readers were.
With the benefit of hindsight, we can see that NBC and others weren't prestigious at all, they were simply liars who kept getting away with reading lies to their viewer night after night.
Some of every candidate's backers are "racist or intolerant," even (or especially) the liberals.
What the Left thinks about race and religion in two sentences. White bad, black good. Christianity bad, Islam good.
