Just the other day, “American warplanes destroyed around 280 of ISIS' oil tanker trucks along the Syria-Iraq border on Monday, U.S. officials told NBC News.”

Will this bombing by Russia or the United States stop the money flowing to ISIS terror in the West? Probably not. “Islamic State is still extracting and selling oil in Syria and has adapted its trading techniques despite a month of strikes by U.S.-led forces...”
Who is buying the ISIS oil on the black market?
Some say Turkey buys ISIS oil. The key question is, how much of an illegal trade is there? The New York Times cited experts who placed the figure “at $1 million to $2 million a day.” Speaking to Al-Monitor, a presidential adviser who preferred to remain anonymous dismissed this claim. He said, “This is impossible. A barrel of oil would be sold for about $50 on the black market. This means 400,000 barrels of oil a day passing illegally from Iraq or Syria to Turkey.”

And some of us have maps and KNOW Turkey buys it. This isn’t a bag of diamonds, its a bulk product, moved by fleets of trucks to a pipeline.
Are they selling it in Jordan? Nope.
Are they selling it in Iraq? Nope.
I’m sure i’ll get treated to some theory that they sell it to Russia who flies it out on giant Antonov cargo planes.
But right across the border, via a protected humanitarian corridor, is a corrupt moslem nation who bombs the Kurds who bother ISIS, and who thinks ISIS should have an embassy.
Gosh, what a brain teaser. Where -could- that oil go? And I mean, the government captures and reads this post and can tell you what time I woke up this morning. But somehow, a 2 mile fleet of trucks in a war zone, in daylight, eludes them.

Glad the US blacklisted the Syrians that are cooperating with ISIS buying oil, no shortage of that or Assad who cooperated with Jihadists when US troops were en force in Iraq.
Russia, France, etc. will pursue the quickest way to peace, whatever way that is, with or without Assad in power.
