Alan Abramowitz reads the latest WaPo poll and emails:
Read these results and tell me how Trump doesnât win the Republican nomination? Iâve been very skeptical about this all along, but Iâm starting to change my mind. I think thereâs at least a pretty decent chance that Trump will be the nominee.
Hereâs why I think Trump could very well end up as the nominee:
1. Heâs way ahead of every other candidate now and has been in the lead or tied for the lead for a long time.
2. The only one even giving him any competition right now is Carson who is even less plausible and whose support is heavily concentrated among one (large) segment of the baseâevangelicals.
3. Rubio, the great establishment hope now, is deep in third place, barely in double digits and nowhere close to Trump or Carson....

Ted is being ignored by the media because he is scarier than Trump ... imo
Love it!
Krugman is an idiot.
Thanks for the Ping!
Here is one more to add to your prescient list:

I don’t think Cruz is scarier, I think he is hated more.
The view unfettered by liberal mental illness:
I believe that Cruz is hated more, but he’s also easy to ignore when he’s in 3rd place.
Of the two, I believe that Trump would be the better President (barely) in this current situation, but mostly because he seems to have the will AND the popular clout to kick some serious ass in Washington and throttle the establishment.
After 4-8 years of that, though, Cruz would be the best choice, at least that I see at the moment. I believe that Trump would work best as the deconstructionist President and Cruz would be a truly awesome reconstructionist President, especially if he reconstructs a Constitutionalist government.
And both of them scare the crap out of the establishment. Bwaaa ha ha ha ha.
The commenters on the NYTs are split between those who despise the elecorate and those who believe they are the electorate. They live in their little liberal bubble where anything can be made to happen if they just fool the voters enough.
They actually think that Barry has been good for the country.
The disconnect between them and reality is enormous.
There is a serious chance that they will be hit with reality squarely between the eyes.
A couple of serious commenters put out the truth, and most of the rest simply ignore them.
Trump will get the lion share of independents too. Hillary only gets hard core Rats. Trump in a land slide election which will give him a mandate to reform DC and Make America Great Again. We will have to build more jails to put all those corrupt DC insiders into.
That said, Trump is looking like a steamroller. I'm still supporting Cruz's campaign, but that may be helping him build a war chest for future endeavors...
You're very welcome! That title is already on the list, about halfway down. :-)
The money statement -
Indeed. You have a party whose domestic policy agenda consists of shouting “death panels!”, whose foreign policy agenda consists of shouting “Benghazi!”, and which now expects its base to realize that Trump isn’t serious. Or to put it a bit differently, the definition of a GOP establishment candidate these days is someone who is in on the con, and knows that his colleagues have been talking nonsense. Primary voters are expected to respect that?
Dear Paul Krugman,
Just because all the idiots around applaud you for being very smart does not mean you are smart at all. In fact, your an idiot. But every now and then, an idiot might trip over the truth and think he is smart for doing so.

I hate when writers try to come up with new words. I find the practice to be Trimpconceivable.
Not that I received on like it or anything. LOL

It may have been that and a possible church connection.
I had wondered if it was the church connection.
I put it on the Refrigerator.
At first glance my Wife thought it was a Booking Photo. LOL
How do you know it isn’t? Huh?
LOL
How did you like that page in there that asked you to express your beliefs?
Ah, no thanks.
My belief.
I think Dr. Carson is a nice guy but he comes off a bit odd.
The more I know, the less I want to know. LOL
