No surprises here. The Nuge likes The Donald.

Glenn won't have him back on his show if he is not careful.

You said...
“I like much of some of what Trump says but I don’t trust him at all. He’s throwing lots of bones to the base but has to know he can come through on very little of it due to gov-imposed laws, unions and bureaucracy. He’s a showman who loves attention.”

Agree. He’s saying “the right stuff” now but past statements, and some fairly recently, and his closer ties with Democrats have me concerned. If he becomes president, he might prove me wrong but for now, I see him as a showman who knows what to say and to who. I guess that’s from years of being a businessman.

My favorite line from his defenders is “ Reagan used to be a Democrat.” Not even near comparable

Under a Trump administration, I would like to see Scott Walker running the Department of Eliminating Government Unions and John Bolton running the Department of FU United Nations.

I could die happy with just that.

None of them are seeking your vote in a GOP primaryGoing anti-someone is only effective (and honest) if you are also pro-someone/something (in a meaningful way)...

That's a segue into my usual addendum - don't take it personal unless it fits:

Now for a short public service announcement to all on FR:
I prefer Cruz and my money goes to his campaign, hence the Cruz link. If you like someone else, donate to him/her (find your own link to do it) and if you use FR and don't donate, then please don't complain about the welfare leeches or those who have Obama Phones because, functionally, you are no different than any other FReeloader

PS - If you are one of those who cannot afford even a small donation to FR or a candidate, God Bless and happy FReeping!.....

GO CRUZ!! Keep it up Trump!!

Donate to FR

Donate to Cruz

Donate to FR

As a Trump “supporter” informed me on twitter yesterday.

‘I don’t intend to actually vote for Trump, I just like causing the GOPe to panic’. It got a dozen retweets and comments indicating similar opinions.

I’ve done the same like when I was voting for Kerry in all the polls in 04 but these days I don’t like to play games with politics. Its just too risky.

I don’t agree with you.

Trump has a lot of real support. People are completely fed up with our current “leaders”. Bigtime.

But you’re an admitted liberal so what you think doesn’t matter any more than my militant liberal cousin who laughs about “supporting” Trump thinks.

So what?

I am still waiting for our own party to present a superior proposal.

Admit it: American healthcare is an (extremely) expensive, mess.

I am quite conservative on other subjects. But you’re completely right on this subject.

I don’t discuss it a great deal because the site owner is not supportive of my views on this subject, but if you point them out I won’t deny for even a moment.

We need to fix our healthcare mess.

Big time.

I got to see Ted at the Cape cod coliseum in 1978...was an awesome show....this man has to be one of the best advocates for America from the world of Rock “n” Roll ...I have always liked his music and outlook politically. Not one liberal moonbat can touch this Americans view , all they do is act repulsed and offended ....yet are unable to appreciate the simple fact that real Americans who shun governmental intrusion in their lives actually are the ones that afford them the ability to resent and attack the very source that keeps them afloat .... boggles the mind how stupid some get when educated .

I guess you missed the part where he said the idea will no longer work since the debt is so high

No, I did not. Doesn't matter anyway. He was suggesting to take from the private sector to reduce the debt the public sector has created, more specifically, politicians who apparently never have to pay for their actions.

I have nothing but contempt for that philosophy.
