You do realize, don’t you, you do you Cruz no favors by trashing Trump.

All it does is make Trump supporters, who are open to Cruz, double down on Trump.

He’s smooth, good looking, confident etc...If he weren’t an amnesty pimp (among other failings) he’d be an excellent candidate. His debate performances have been outstanding. For those who can’t see past his BS, he’s a great candidate.

There’s still lots of time before the caucuses and primaries. I predict that Cruz will pass Trump by early/mid January. At that point, I just hope that Trump doesn’t go crazier and attack Cruz with a scorched earth attack.
I view this poll as very encouraging for those backing Cruz as he’s now showing up as 2nd in more and more polls and slowly closing in on Trump

A lot of people here seem to think Cruz walks on water. Does Cruz’ record contain much for Trump to attack? Just asking.

I think that's a good way to look at it. Of course, he could save himself a lot of trouble by beginning every phrase with, "Of course, all Muslims aren't terrorists . . . ." or "Ben Carson has some wonderful traits . . . ."

But people hear that everywhere else.

Wow. What a rebuke for the GOPE. All the other candidates in the race but Trump-Cruz-Carson-Rubio score less than the “would not vote” number.

I wonder if they know the “refugees” they support coming here may be professional “Skyscraper Splat” players when it comes to their sexual orientation?

Well that would explain while Mike Moore is everywhere telling everyone he will welcome as many as he can get to his house.

“Cruz would never be VP to Trump and I expect Trump to fail. “

That explain why the old Scott Walker now Cruz supporters are the biggest b*tch and moan caucus on FR.

They keep expecting a fantasy to come true and hope repeating it will make it happen.

These two have something worked out, and are doing it above the cheerleading sections online. So take their cues and stop looking at Trump as some problem to be done away with.

He is good looking for a politician and he speaks very very well. He’s easy on the ears. In fact, that’s the one thing that Cruz really lacks...he’s hard on the ears. His voice is very whiny and pitchy. If he had Rubio’s voice he would be polling better.

I wouldn’t say that he walks on water but of all the candidates, I feel he’s the best conservative and constitutionalist running. If Trump attacks Cruz, I believe it would be on the NSA reform bill Ted co-sponsored. However, since Cruz really hasn’t attacked Trump at all, I would hope that Trump would return the favor.

The main thing which is clear from the more recent polls is that Ben Carson’s star is fading and Cruz and Rubio are both fighting for second place.

_____________________

Of course anything can happen...but more than likely no one is going to catch Trump & he will move into the mid 40%. Cruz & Rubio will continue fight each other for second place & stay around 15% & Carson will be in single digits soon, along with the rest of the pack. I don’t see any of the main stage contenders dropping out until after New Hampshire or beyond.

How easily as he was coopted and manipulated by the gang of 8 shows how easily he might be coopted and manipulated if he did win the presidency.

We already know from various reports and videos that he would still push for amnesty.

Trump probably won’t need to attack if Cruz & Rubio stay around 15%. Trump would also prefer not to dirty up a potential VP pick.

“How easily as he was coopted and manipulated by the gang of 8 shows how easily he might be coopted and manipulated if he did win the presidency.”

Rubio had established a long record of siding with illegal aliens when he was Speaker of the Florida House. He used that position to kill any bills attempting to deal with illegals.

He wasn’t manipulated at all. The Gang of Eight was the real Rubio. He’s lying when he pushes the idea that he was fooled by Schumer.

Rubio is just one more GOPe weasel, albeit a slicker, latino version.

You and me and most others here are aware of that. The 8.2% he got in the poll represents the people in the poll who don’t dig further. Low information voters exist on our side too.

Shumer and McCain did manipulate him, because, through the committee and Senate votes, Rubio was the face of the immigration bill on the news programs.

Shumer and McCain though the new face might help them get it passed. They used him and he let.
