You are not getting the picture..

Russia is not there to fight ISIS, despite the propaganda that you have apparently believed.

Russia is there to save Assad’s butt. That’s it..

As per usual, as implied by history going back nearly 100 years now, the Russians have little or no respect for borders or sovereignty of adjacent countries.

It’s a simple tactical matter to keep their aircraft off that Turkish border. They have the assets, ie: slower flying planes and choppers to do what they need to do near that border yet they have totally ignored warnings.

It was not that long ago that we had similar issues with Turkey when we invaded Iraq. We made adjustments tactically.

IMO, the blame for this falls squarely on Putin or one of his generals. It was avoidable. Totally so...

As I have already said, we are in the throws of WWIII as we speak. When it happens, Muslims, ISIS, and Turkey will not be the issue.

Closer to home, how bout Obama, he is no friend of the American people or out military. Just uses both to suit his ends, which we are very skeptical of.

If so, why still should we even protect Turkey with the NATO alliance? They have been a thorn to us long enough, and have been living free on the defenses provided.

Time to let them re-join their muslim community.

Time for the Men and Women in US military uniforms to begin choosing sides.
The chain of command is going fracture. Taking orders to commence WWIII under such obvious criminalities including TREASON is sufficient to split the US MILITARY!!
DO IT NOW!!!!

I don’t think that the center photo is a SU-24, but appears to be of a different plane.

Obama is not serious about this war (and I mean war!!) with ISIS. He's playing out the clock until he leaves and can dump this mess on the next President. That has nothing to do with Putin being a friend of ours or not. Two separate issues. The only reason we have Putin being involved in the first place is because we have a weak and feckless President.

Why do so many people on free republic want to believe everything Putin and Russia says? People, get real!! Putin is not to be trusted. He is a dictator and no friend of ours!!

When it comes to trust, I'm inclined to believe a Christian's version above that of the Muslim leaders of both Turkey and the US, even if he is a Russian. Even so, I support former president Reagan's philosophy of trust but verify.

Muslims I do not trust in any shape are form. Their Quran gives them permission lie, cheat, steal, murder, rape, or to do anything and everything in furtherance of its murderous ideology.

Putin is not ideological, he would have served the Czar with equal vigor as he did the Bolsheviks.

"Putin is not ideological"

He is ex KGB. He has publicly stated something to the effect that the worst day of his life is when the Soviet Union fell. He has told the world that no Russian soldiers are in the Ukraine, yet the body bags coming back to Russia tell a different story. This man is not to be trusted, period.

I dont give a damn in Russia flew through Turkeys airspace to attack terrorists!

The government of Turkey just MURDERED two Russians because they had to gall to fly through Turkish airspace while KILLING TERRORISTS!

If I were Putin... I would be bombing the Turkish capital!

"And HW Bush was former CIA what’s your point?"

Were you around during the cold war? Let me give you a lesson here. The CIA were our guys, AKA the good guys. The KGB were their guys AKA the bad guys. That's my point. This has nothing to do with backing Putin over Obama. This has everything to do with Putin/Russia's intentions in the region. They are not there to destroy ISIS. They are there to prop up Asaad's regime. These guys spout a few things about Christianity and people like yourself believe them hook, line and sinker. Putin is a tin pot dictator and he's no friend of the U.S. He talks a good game about fighting ISIS but the results show that the majority of his bombings have been against our allies fighting ISIS and trying to overthrow Asaad.

Is this Colonel reporting true facts? . . . or following orders from his commander-in-chief. The problem with this administration - there is no longer a sense of trust.

Following orders; we will see if Obama sacrifices American lives on behalf of his Moslem rebels. I expect Russia to reciprocate militarily against Turkey. World War One began with mobilization based on alliances.

He's a former commie KGB atheist!!

And Obama is former Madras attending Quran toting Muslim, and still wears a ring proclaiming no god but allah and mohammed is his prophet.

I've seen Putin kissing pictures of Christ. Obama won't even be seen in the presence of the cross on on camera.

And as for who is the bigger liar, how 'bout you give me $500 for every lie Obama has been caught in and I'll give you $500 back for each of Putin's lies you can point to.

When a person truly turns their life over to Christ, it changes them to their core - this includes former KBG agents and even Muslims.

Ping me when you see Obama doing this:

Here is Obama:

Even so, trust but verify.
