U.S. Constitution ^

Posted on 11/23/2015 10:25:19 PM PST by Jim Robinson

U.S. Constitution

Amendment XXV

Section 4.

Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President.

Thereafter, when the President transmits to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives his written declaration that no inability exists, he shall resume the powers and duties of his office unless the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive department or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit within four days to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office. Thereupon Congress shall decide the issue, assembling within forty-eight hours for that purpose if not in session. If the Congress, within twenty-one days after receipt of the latter written declaration, or, if Congress is not in session, within twenty-one days after Congress is required to assemble, determines by two-thirds vote of both Houses that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall continue to discharge the same as Acting President; otherwise, the President shall resume the powers and duties of his office.

Re your opinion of Slow Joe. I used to think that. Until very recently.

Then it’s Ryan. I have to admit, I voted for Romeny, holding my nose. Ryan would be about the same. Not one to swing the balance our way, but at least a relatively capable manager of the country. I don’t like it, but we are soooo screwed right now.

I have said since day one of Obama's administration that he is schizophrenic. Paranoid, with delusions of grandeur. Now I say he has DELUSIONS OF ADEQUACY!

There is a chance, that national cascade events have been planned for a good while.

The idea is to event, first inside, and then outside of concurrent neighborhoods. The overwhelming of inner city services will allow full-on penetration of more urbane areas.

Resulting in NG callouts, that are uncontainable. Sorry for the scenario.

I know. We’re all sorry for the state of affairs and wish there is something we could do. For one thing, I forgive all the German citizens who could do nothing while Hitler made his rampage. I used to blame them, but now I see that there is little the citizenry can do when a minority controls all the money and heavy weaponry, as well as the vast investigative powers of the state. Even now, even on here, I am tempering my remarks lest the machine be watching. Yes, and they probably know who I am.

Well, I have another scenario...

The reason the Syrian refugee accept- is being touted by Obama, Hillary and the rest- is to fully actuate, a contiguous state of martial law. Once the unaccountable “islamic terrorists” are present in Our Country, and make their assaults/attacks upon Our Nation. The sitting President of the United States, will have to declare martial law.

This has been the engineered wet dream of these socialist fascists, since Wilson.

This is not my cautious whim, of negative thought. These bastards mean to do Our Country harm, in the fullest degree possible.

Barack Obama could run the ship of state into the rocks and the Republicans would do absolutely nothing.Just like they’ve done the previous seven years.

You may as well put that Amendment back in the Constitution and lock it up because we don’t follow the Constitution any longer.

My question to the audience is what if the VP is not to be found.

Does the Speaker of the House initiate this and then he assumes the role of President?

IMHO, sounds like a pretty quick fix if someone was , cough, cough, ,cough, fixing things.

Even worse case scenario - Biden could appoint Hillary VP, then either step down or be removed amd, voila, Hillary goes into the election as the incumbent.

It's coming down to put up or shut up time for we the people to swing this boat around.

Against us is the whole Statist oligarchy, academia, media and culture organizations.

Religion is buckling under the assault.

It's going to come down to the individual or the hive.

President Obama should be relieved of Command, due to loss of Confidence which diminishes his ability to lead.

“They should not allow an insane president to run our country into the ground.”

I have often wondered if they would. It seems that we are being governed by people who seemingly have a scrupulous allegiance to law while serving a lawless president.

But at least plugs and Ryan aren’t commie sympathizers and treasonous Muslim Isis aiders-and-abetters like 0 is.

0 has got to go.

Republican administrations at least have been able to recognize even they need to watch for not just physical but mental incapacities as covered by the 25 Amendment, Clause 4 - and much more recently than Nixon - the issue was raised with Reagan.

Aides to incoming Chief of Staff Howard Baker advised him that if he accepted the position he needed to be ready to invoke the 25th Amendment (see e.g., http://www.upi.com/Archives/1988/09/15/A-White-House-aide-astounded-by-tales-of-a/7441590299200/ ). Fortunately Baker and others observed Reagan at a staff meeting the next day and determined he was “dandy” and ultimately determined the suggestions that Reagan may be unfit were based on political infighting.

I’m glad to see this suggestion raised. I suggested it was a better course of action than impeachment over a year ago as Democrats would see impeachment as a purely partisan response to domestic policies even if driven by his current treasonous acts and inaction. His petulant comments are exposing his narcissism and inability to handle the office. The memo Baker received was suggesting psychological issues supposedly exemplified by laziness and failure to read memo’s ... are clearly seen in Obama’s day to day actions/inactions.

More and more of the MSM are beginning to question the president’s failure to take appropriate action - if Biden and a majority of the cabinet have the intestinal fortitude to act it could prevent the riots that would result from any impeachment attempt.

Something like that would have to arise naturally and unplanned in response to provocation. I fear that talking openly and planning such a display would give the Statists motivation to call said gathering sedition and act accordingly. Wouldn’t be the first time the military was ordered to fire upon its own citizens to “defend” the fearful Washington cabal. The first time it was even firing upon and charging our own vets.
