7 of 8 years we know that he has discharged no power nor duty of his office. He has discharged powers of ISIS's office, the Muslim Brotherhood's office, Frank Marshal Davis' office, Bill Ayer's office, Reverend Wright's office, Mao Tsu Tung's office, Pol Pot's office. He's done all their bidding, they would call him capable and dutiful.

He is certainly able to discharge power against the office.

But I've yet to see him discharge any power of his office in 7 of 8 years.

If a man cheats on his wife in the first 7 of 8 chances to either do so or not do so, wouldn't it be right for the wife to conclude that he is unable, not just struggling to or a failure at remaining faithful?

The thing is, though, this country re-elected him - I'll grant it the first folly. But at this point there are grounds to say it's the voting majority of the US, even pre- an imported Democrat Welfare State electorate, that is proving itself unable to carry out the office and duty God gave it. At this rate, the country will be removed from office before Otopia and his secular collectivist hypnotic cult followers.

I don't have a cite/URL for that but I do have a solid recollection of reading it, I think a few years after Nixon passed away (mid-1990's), possibly an article on an interview with one of the other two (Haig or Kissinger). Now I'll have to go look it up...

Whenever the Vice President..., in this case should read: Whenever hell freezes over.

Joe Biden will not be involved in an action such as this, guaranteed. And even if he did have an ounce of patriotism in his old, liquor soaked bones, it'd take a month just to sober him enough to take action. Too little. Too late.

You might be right. As successful as it seems to us he's been at doing damage ... he seems to be straining under the notion that he'll be remembered neither as a great president, nor a total destroyer (transformer).

Narcissists are happy either way - cure for cancer, or bubonic plague - it's the largeness of the impression they leave that they care about, not the good or bad nature of it. I think he'll be thought of as just a very very nasty flu - better to be forgotten entirely than either entirely cherished or entirely reviled. To be perceived as mediocre and weak, and to have his legacy be the consequences of that weakness, especially if he's followed by a Reaganish presidency is enough to crack a narcissist - especially as his chance to transform closes, and the prospect of any kind of rebirth in America is possible.

Even liberals think he's kind of loser at this point. I'm surrounded by them, and they just ... don't ... want ... to ... talk about him. That's like being sent to hell for a narcissist. So I think you could be right there. So much harm done though across the world. Closest man to evil I've ever known. Even Bill Clinton “I Hate That Man Obama More Than Any Man I’ve Ever Met." ...

Interesting. I did not know that (about Haig and Kissenger).

I recall a televised interview with Kissinger with NBC's John Chancellor back in the early days of the Reagan administration (shortly after the assassination attempt by John Hinckley), Haig was back in the news after his 'I'm in control here at the White House' statement (which was perfectly proper), and Chancellor was asking Kissinger about crisis management and referred to the Nixon resignation, Kissinger revealed that both he and Haig were concerned over Nixon's mental health as early as late 1973, Kissinger said he refused to arrange a phone call between Nixon and then-British Prime Minister Edward Heath, his description to his deputy Brent Scowcroft that Nixon was 'loaded' from drinking too much that night.

In released telephone transcripts in 2004 [Washington Post and AP], Haig related to Kissinger that Nixon had jokingly instructed him (Haig) to "get the football" (with the nuclear codes) and that Nixon said he ought to nuke Capitol Hill since they were continuing to pursue Nixon regarding the Watergate affair. Despite the joking tone, Haig was alarmed by the comments.

One week before Nixon resigned on August 8, 1974, Haig physically secured that 'football', and Haig was later described by Watergate special prosecutor Leon Jaworski as the "man on the tightrope" trying his best to honor his obligations to the President and the Constitution but fully aware that Nixon was undergoing "the most significant mental crisis of his life" and for that reason Haig (with Kissinger's approval) instructed the Joint Chiefs of Staff to confirm with Haig and/or Kissinger any direct Presidential orders to release nuclear weapons.
