Billionaire businessman Donald Trump has regained a solid grip on the lead over the rest of the 2016 GOP pack in Iowa and has large leads in the early states of New Hampshire and South Carolina, according to new polling on the Republican field.

Mr. Trump was at 30 percent in Iowa, followed by Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas at 21 percent, retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson at 19 percent, and Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida at 11 percent, according to the CBS News/YouGov poll.

In a CBS poll taken in October, Mr. Trump and Mr. Carson had been tied at 27 percent apiece, followed by Mr. Cruz at 12 percent and Mr. Rubio at 9 percent.

In New Hampshire, Mr. Trump was at 32 percent, followed by Mr. Rubio at 13 percent, Mr. Carson and Mr. Cruz at 10 percent apiece, and Ohio Gov. John Kasich at 8 percent.

Trump has earned this ...never seen a candidate work so hard — he’s out there every DAY at rallies, or doing interviews — amazing energy and drive. Can only imagine what he’ll do for our country.

Go Trump!!

That YUUUGE lead is an indicator that he will withdraw from the race soon. /s

South Carolina (of all places) turns out to be the key.

I predict that some “values candidate” will steal Iowa (you know, like President Santorum or President Huckabee). It will be the “end of Trump™”.

Trump will then blow out the doors in NH, “much better than expected™”.

Next comes South Carolina, to answer the question, “can he be stopped™?” South Carolina! So many Christians! So many minorities!

If Trump wins in SC, especially if he wins big, there will be a steamroller effect. If he just squeaks by, or if he loses, there will be a chance for an alternative to appear.

Senator Cruz just keeps climbing. I wonder what happened to those folks on FR that were telling me a couple of months ago that he was never going to gain traction in the polls??

21 percent now, next week 22, then 24, 26, 27, 30, 32... right around that time it will be time for the caucuses... then victory! Cruz 2016!

This can’t be true in Iowa.

He imploded in Iowa just a little over a week ago with his speech criticizing Carson.

Remember that long thread right here on FR where we were told it was over for Trump?

Saw a few Trump yard agnes in rural Indiana today. One guy with a hat swamped at checkout. Everyone wanted one. Lots of thumbs up while we waited.

Can you spell LANDSLIDE?

The polls are strange this year. Carson came from nowhere, did nothing, signed books rather than campaign and according to the polls nearly surpassed Trump who is out there daily in front of tens of thousands of members of the public.

Here's what we've seen:

Fiorina
Carson
Rubio
Cruz

Was Carson really surging in states or was the media and their paid polling agencies lending him a crutch?

Is Cruz really surging? Only time will tell.

I'm not as convinced of it as others are, but then when you support a candidate, any gnat on the scales of voter's desires is welcomed with much fan-fare and triumphant glee.

Just ask Carson's ex-supporters. Or were they? LOL

Every day I am so happy to see and hear where Trump is in the polls, and I look to see where he is going to be speaking, it’s like we can’t get enough of hearing him...that loud, tell it like it is, booming voice, unfinished sentences because we know what he’s going to say, and he knows that...

GO TRUMP GO....

...brought to you by a supporter of TRUMP....
