Real Good Guy. His wife left him and took the kids.
So sad. Some just can’t get past a serious problem.
Sometimes most of us would say a not so serious problem.
We live in a broken world since the fall of Adam & Eve.
I look forward to the restoration of all that has been stolen
and destroyed. Jehovah God is a Just But Merciful God.

Sorry, not sure now. I read several versions of this story and none of them made clear whether he had killed himself with the .22 caliber gun or with a rifle. He and his parents owned a number of different kinds of firearms.

A horrible tragedy. My heart goes out to the parents. May the Lord have mercy on him.

The gun control crowd gets another mark on their tally board, another person who died due to the insane culture that would take someone who was doing so well and utterly trash his life for a thoughtless moment.

Yes, he did something stupid. But then the pile-on came - suspension, forced resignation from fraternity and student body position, requirement to seek counseling to clear his return to campus, a profusion of pending charges including an arrest warrant, and an all points bulletin as well as the panicked clearing of an entire campus.

Not shocked it ended in suicide, just damn glad that he didn't try to take anyone else with him. My sympathies to the family for their loss; I'm sure the college won't bother having much of a memorial for the person they destroyed.
