American Millennials are far more likely than older generations to say the government should be able to prevent people from saying offensive statements about minority groups, according to a new analysis of Pew Research Center survey data on free speech and media across the globe.
Even though a larger share of Millennials favor allowing offensive speech against minorities, the 40% who oppose it is striking given that only around a quarter of Gen Xers (27%) and Boomers (24%) and roughly one-in-ten Silents (12%) say the government should be able to prevent such speech.

Many here want to abolish the Department of Education. While I agree that it should eventually be eliminated, I think it would be best to do a “conservative takeover” of the Department.

The problem is that the Education degree qualifications would have to be waived because the degreed teachers of the past couple of decades were all taught to pass on the liberal, socialist views. Teacher unions will have to be banned. Tenure of college profs. should be ended.
Well, I guess I could go on... but you get the idea.
Home schooling in traditional subjects using local and State standards would be great, but since both husband and wife have to work nowadays to make ends meet, it would probably require a group effort within each neighborhood (similar to a private school). Many kids home school on the internet already.

I don’t want to limit speech. We need to hear what is on the minds of idiots so we can identify them as such.

Since Obamacare considers people to be “KIDS” up to age 26, they shouldn’t be allowed to vote or drink alcohol until age 27, unless they are serving or did serve honorably in the US military.

I was raised in a family of mixed European descent. If you don’t think the the insults didn’t fly, then you live in a make believe world.
The Irish one poked fun at the stupid Pollock who poked fun at the frog French who poked fun at the dirty Irish...And it was ALL in good fun!! NOBODY took offence! The family was very close with tremendous love and respect for each other. Some of these people were born into the family, others were in-laws. Some were catholic, some were protestant and the comments flew there too.
Once upon a time, people actually had a sense of humour about who they were, and where they came from. They could laugh at themselves, at the irony within their cultural beliefs/practices and everybody got along! In my family, most were only second generation American!
Jokes were silly things like ‘’Did you hear about the Pollock who bought 4 new snow tires? They melted before he got home!”
Each tried to best the other with yet another cultural/racist joke.
Today, we have more mixed nationalities in our family, and you can bet your bottom dollar that I’ve done my best to carry forward with the family traditions.
At first, some of the grand kids acted ‘’offended’’ because they’d been taught in school to be offended. Eventually, it all came together for them. There’s nothing wrong with making fun of of oneself, or others. We are all human beings and each of us has a cultural background which is typical of that culture. It’s just the way it is.
Learn to roll with the punches and keep a sense of humour, and you will live a happy life even in the midst of trials and tribulations!
Developing an attitude of being offended brings stress, pain, violence, a miserable life, bitterness and an early death.
Will the phrase “Black Lives Matter” be tossed on the ash heap if enough whites find it offensive?

I had NO hate in me until 9-11 happened.
Then my favorite nephew joined the Marines and became a Lieutenant.
He was leading a squad in Fallujah when the mooselimbs killed him.
With this Supreme Court who knows what will stand.
I heard the term crybullies used.
They bully you on the basis of their anger/offense.
Defend yourself, and they cry that they are upset/offended/upset, and your defense (whether verbal or physical) is escalation.
It is the result of giving preference to the person who cries the loudest AND punishment of the person who cries bully even if they were the one bullying or resorting to emotional blackmail.
Given the almost round the clock bombardment of Political Correctness (Psychological Terrorism), I’m actually surprised that it isn’t higher.
