Feisty Cruz to Obama: 'Insult Me to My Face,' Let's Debate Refugee Plan (Video)
Ted Cruz is firing back after comments from President Obama suggesting that the GOP’s push to restrict entry for Syrian refugees based on their allegiance to Islam is un-American.
According to NBC News’s Mark Murray, Cruz took the opportunity to put all those Capitol Hill news cameras to good use, offering Obama a direct challenge:

Earlier this week at a press conference during a leadership summit in the Philippines, President Obama told the crowd:
“When individuals say that we should have a religious test and that only Christians — proven Christians — should be admitted — that’s offensive and contrary to American values. I cannot think of a more potent recruitment tool for ISIL than some of the rhetoric that’s been coming out of here during the course of this debate.”
But direct to camera, Cruz didn’t hold back. He said Obama’s “personal insults and attacks” are “utterly unbefitting of a president,” adding:
“If you want to insult me, you can do it overseas, you can do it in Turkey, you can do it in foreign countries, but I would encourage you, Mr. President, come back and insult me to my face.”
No word yet if the Obama administration will accept the challenge.

Well, I will say it's fairly remarkable.President Obama has now chosen - two days in a row - to attack me directly.
He just called me offensive the day before he called me un-American
I think that's really quite rich that he chose to make both of those insults on foreign soil, while he was abroad, attacking me, and attacking everyone else in this country who believes we should not be bringing in tens of thousands of Syrian muslim refugees that the Obama administration cannot vet to determine whether or not they are ISIS terrorists.
I gotta tell ya, it is utterly unbefitting of the President to be engaging in those kinds of personal insults and attacks, and you know, he also... he talked about how he was belittleing the Republican field as "scared."
Well let me suggest something. Mr. President, you want to insult me, you can do it overseas, you can do it in Turkey, you can do it in foreign countries, but I would encourage you, Mr. President, come back and insult me to my face. Let's have a debate on Syrian refugees, right now. We can do it anywhere you want. I prefer the United States, and not overseas where you're making the insults.
It's easy to toss a cheap insult when no one can respond, but let's do a debate, we can have it on any station - I'm sure any one of the TV stations would be glad to host it - and let's have a debate on your refugee policy.
Stop trying to fall into the liberal trap... The refugees who are in the pipeline right now are those who have been in refugee camps in neighboring countries for at least two years. The fact that the administration has been very careful to hide this means two things; they mean to embarrass Republicans by getting them against actual refugees first, then the old switcheroo where they start importing ‘refugees’ who have been ‘vetted by our European partners.’
They’re just waiting to drop the illegal invaders of Europe on us until we make fools of ourselves about actual refugees.

Of course Obama will NOT take the challenge. He knows Cruz would eat him up in about 30 seconds and expose to the world that Obama is a nothing. But most of the world already knows that by now anyway. too bad there are still many Americans that can’t see him for what he is.
