Real estate mogul Donald Trump continues to lead the Republican presidential field by a wide margin, after seeing his support dip in late October. Trump leads with 38 percent of the vote, twice the level of support of his nearest competitor, retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson, who takes 19 percent. Sens. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) and Ted Cruz (R-Texas) tie for third, at 7 percent each, while former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (R) finishes with 6 percent. No other contender scores above 3 percent of the vote.

Trump continues to dominate. Looks like his "attack" on Carson actually helped him. Have a great day! Make America Great Again!

I have noticed that Trump is clearly over 40% when you take secondary voters who stand around 30% for Trump.

In other words when voters are asked whom would you vote for as a secondary vote 30% would vote for Trump.

This tells me he is in the low 40%.

Give it another 8-12 weeks and he will be in the low 50%.

In 4 weeks Trump has added 500,000 followers to his twitter account and no other candidate can even get close to this kind of growth.

Hillary has only added 40,000 followers and as many as 50% are fake according to several audits.

As Ann Coulter said, with the Paris attacks Trump has just been elected president.

GoTrump!

Well, I think we can officially consider Trump’s campaign over. The wheels have fallen off, and he’s officially imploded.

The Political “experts” have him at only 22% to get the nomination and 16% to win. He has been ahead by wide margins the whole way. I never bought into that phony poll that had Carson ahead. Maybe they know something we don’t, like a GOPe plan to take him out. I wouldn’t put it past them because they’re desperate. Even Juam McLame chimed in about Cruz’s move to keep Syrians out. He should know, he helped create that mess and what’s coming here.

The political experts simply do not count. They are bought and paid for.

Just a week ago we were told that tis was finally it for Trump and that he had topped.

He has blown out 40% and he is on his way to 50%.

Parallel, but largely unnoticed bumps in the popularity of The Donald among the “independents”, those who claim to be neither Republican nor Democrat, which has been SOARING.

The Donald is attracting a large following among groups not normally favorable to Republicans, and surprisingly, among Americans of African descent, among LEGAL citizens of Hispanic descent, among the young, and even among otherwise uncommitted females, that were expected to vote lockstep for Herself.

The Donald is nominally a Republican, but he is running as a genuine American, and going over the heads of the national media. A billionaire, but still with the common touch, other culturally aware Americans have flocked to him in droves.

Why Huckabee, Fiorina, Paul, Jindal, Graham, Santorum, and even Bush stay in this race is something to wonder about. They can’t possibly still be getting donations. I guess there might be some rich delusional people out there who are still donating to them.

I suspect the low-percenters are auditioning for talking head roles for the real campaign season.

I may be wrong, but would not it be possible for a candidate to receive over 50% of the votes in the primaries of every state that has primaries and still not have enough delegates at the Republican National Convention to win the nomination outright; ending up with a brokered convention selecting someone with much less popular support. This might be especially true for an outsider like Trump who is not one of the political good-old-boys.

The Donald is nominally a Republican.

I appreciate your comments, and agree with most of them. On another I'd like to propose a bit of brotherly perspective.

Trump unquestionably defaults to what is best for the nation.

This affects his stances on: Illegal Immigration, the Boder, Refugee Immigration, H-1B Immigration, Immigration in General, National Debt, the Unborn, Jobs, Trade, Big Government, Education, the Military (standing assets), our Troops, the EPA, our Veterans, Energy Matters, National Defense Policies, Terrorism, International Relations, and more.

His instincts alone make him one of us. He questions why? He deflects bad policy. He zeros in on it and tells it like it is in terms the public identifies with.

When he blows it, he comes around in 24 hours. What more could we ask for?

Isn't it time we accept that he is more than a Republican?

His agenda could very easily be seen as Reagan's agenda. They both love(d) this nation. They both want(ed) it to be seen as that shining city on a hill.

Isn't it time we address Trump for who he actually is? He's a Conservative in every sense of the word.

Who are we kidding when we say he's a nominal Republican? (not you in particular, a lot of folks say this) Thank heaven he isn't a nominal Republican. That's all Republicans are these days. NOMINAL to the max.

Trump has the perfect set of enemies. They are our enemies.

He doesn't mince words with Hillary. He has the other guy's numbers too. He not only attracts sensible Conservatives, but he's attracting across almost every demographic. What in God's name is there not to like about this guy?

He is about to end about 75 years of GOPe mismanagement of our party. No other candidate has a solitary chance of doing this. January 2017 can't come soon enough.

Go Trump go. Trump/Cruz 2016

IMO < What's going on here, is that FReepers were looking for a brand new Corvette. Instead there were given a brand new Veyron each, and they're angry because the dealer put the square lug nuts on it.

Folks, seriously...
