Weapons were stolen from the United States Army Reserve Armory in Worcester on Saturday night. The facility -- the Lincoln Stoddard Army Reserve Center is located on Lake Street.
The FBI says some weapons are missing as a result of the break-in.
According to the Boston Herald, “The FBI is aware that some weapons are missing as a result of the break in at the Army Reserve Center in Worcester, Massachusetts. We have entered those weapons into NCIC, a national database, and alerted our federal, state and local law enforcement partners,†said Kristen Setera, spokeswoman for Boston Special Agent-in-Charge Harold H. Shaw."
Both the FBI and local police are investigating the break-in.

Early reports were 4 M-4s rifles and 10 M-9 pistols. Not sure I buy that since if they got into a vault, there would be a heavy machine guns in there too. A good opfor team would have grabbed a least one machine gun and more rifles.
It’s New England, assault rifles are harder to get up there. Plus, a full-auto or burst M-4 would be pretty handy on their next attack.

Theft of the M-9 pistols is a tipoff that this was a simple burglary for cash as pistols are readily available anywhere.
The NCIC database entry is SOP and prudent. If any LEOs come across the weapons they will run their SNs and get an NCIC hit tracing back to the theft.
