Sultan Hussein may find that his continued protection of ISIS may require fighting a not-so-proxy war against Russia. He would use the American military, such as is left of it, to fight such a war and it won't be limited to desultory bombings.

For saudi, its probably not the “government” per se, but more likely those demi-princes who are so far removed from the line of succession that they don’t have a chance in hell of being rulers. Because of this status of theirs it builds resentment, and this resentment is what fuels their support of terrorism.
Personally I don’t GAF about these savages. If President Bush had any balls he would have sent a dozen Trident D5’s on a 30 min trip to show these muzzie savages what the “Fingers of God” look like before their population centers, holy sites, and military bases disappear under mushroom clouds.

Yes, and the truth is scarier than the “brilliant” fiction: a handful of morons can kill and injure hundreds of people in a few minutes, using simple means. It takes no special genius to say, “everyone attack at 7:30PM” or to devise a plan like: “go to a place with lots of unarmed sheep in a pen and mow them down.” The simpler and more random the plan, the harder to predict and stop it.
