So despite the reality that if we were really going to get serious about taking down Islamic State we would need a large, modern army to do it, there is no chance of it happening. ISIS will continue to grow in both numbers and capabilities until they inflict an unbearable wound on a city or nation. At that point, the political dynamic will change, but Islamic State will be far more powerful and far more difficult to defeat.

Apparently Rick thinks that we need boots. How can that be? It's the contained JV team and there's surely no issue with Iran working on nuclear power initiatives. Right? President Obie was only speaking from his own standpoint. ISIS is unlikely to attack him in the White House due to his security forces. If a few hundred French are killed or wounded, that is a small number when compared with the millions of French, and the police can handle it.

Can any public figure start framing this "ISIS crisis" as part of USA's 200+ year war on Islam? Yes, we started fighting this against Barbary Pirates ("To the shores of Tripoli...") in 1801!
