A suicide bomber was turned away by a security guard as he tried to get into the Stade de France before blowing himself up after being challenged at the gate.
The terrorist was one of three different cells who launched co-ordinated attacks across Paris last night which claimed the lives of at least 129 people.
A security guard on duty at the 80,000-seat stadium challenged one terrorist who tried to access the stadium with a match ticket 15 minutes into the game between France and Germany, which was attended by president Francois Hollande.

I bet French security guards are nothing like ours, or the TSA..................
Turned away? Really? YOu’ve got to be kidding me!
A suicide bomber was turned away by a security guard as he tried to get into the Stade de France before blowing himself up after being challenged at the gate.
I’m sorry sir but you’re a suicide bomber and you can’t get in to watch the football match. Be off with you now. Go and blow yourself up some place else. Ta ta, have a nice evening.
What would be going through ones mind while doing a pat down and discovering a suicide bomb vest. Yikes!
The TSA would have escorted him to his seat for $10
Yeah, they only let seven of eight in. Of course, if a war veteran with a pin in his leg had showed up they would still be X-raying him.
French security is good.
TSA is a shame.
Apparently, when the security guard got to the "What's that thing?" stage, the terrorist retreated a few meters and blew himself up, a case of premature denotation.
I don’t think any of them got into the stadium.
.
IMMEDIATE TAKE DOWN
The only thing I’d be thinking about is putting a bullet between the guys eyes before he could detonate his vest.
I hope attitudes about ‘not profiling Muslims’ changes. BIG TIME. You can bet this security guard did what he did because the kid was a Muzzie and HOW MANY LIVES WERE SAVED BECAUSE OF HIS PROFILING?
Bingo. A suicide belt is immediate grounds for a head shot at close range.
I agree, that read kind of weird to me also.
Was the Security Guard the Incredible Hulk and he tossed the bomber 50 feet away after he felt the explosives in his jacket?
I'm very much afraid that millions will die before that happens. But it will happen.
Did he profile the bomber? Is the guard guilty of a hate crime?
Was the bomber entitled to a safe space? How many microaggressions did the guard commit?
Those are the important questions.
A very fortunate turn of events. If the other two bombers had just held off another 10-15 minutes they could have done massive damage to the crowds streaming out of the stadium.
This probably has something to do with the fact that the President of France was in the stadium. They didn't have much difficulty penetrating the other target venues. .
Poorly worded by the journalist, not poorly handled by the guard. The bomber in question detonated his vest seconds after it was spotted, after attempting to move away from the guard. A total of three bombers are known to have targeted the stadium (plan - start a stampede, like the fatal one at this year's Hajj). The other two detonated without trying to enter, shortly after hearing the explosion. Total dead at the stadium: one innocent person and three evil terrorists.
