We don't know who has done the killings yet. It is likely that it is Islamic terrorism, but that does not mean it is someone who has only arrived in France the past few months from Syria.

This still does not prove that the person claimed refugee status. It does make it much more likely, so your point is well taken.

I also will state that I simply said we don’t know who did the killings yet. I never said it was not someone from Syria, simply that I did not know at the time.

The French people need to understand that their response in the next days based on emotionalism will come back to haunt them 10 years from now. Even though the country is totally united to defeat ISIS today some politicians will use this against those making the hard decisions to get elected in the future. Everyone will forget these moments.
