But I would argue that most voters do not study politics...they just look at the guy and within a couple of words can describe them. Look, Cruz is perhaps the most intelligent/constitutional candidate that has run for office in a long, long time. I agree with you on that point. Most voters though tend to look through a different sense than either you, or I.

When Trump talks into the room, he acts like he owns it. People recognize an Alpha Male when they see one and that is why Trump has done so well in the polls. We will see if his Kill-Shot aimed at Carson was successful or not within a week or two. Trump could have stepped in it big time or just managed to knock his competition out of the water. We shall see.

The country doesn’t necessarily want to elect an alpha male strongman. Our presidents tend to be much more soft-spoken than that. We can look around the world at other alpha male leaders like Putin, Saddam Hussein and Hugo Chavez and see the results. Often we see too much aggression that leads to bad results on the world stage. One of the Iowa polls showed Trump doing exceptionally poorly with female voters.
