Donald Trump was in Iowa tonight and gave a speech to thousands of supporters in Fort Dodge. He blasted all of his opponents, especially Ben Carson, who he repeatedly mocked and spoke about for 9 minutes.
He even does a little stabbing scene before asking what the hell is wrong with Iowa that Ben Carson is so close to him in the polls.

No, but he’s not a conservative either. Plus he seems to be “comfortable” with the likes of Farrahkan and “the reverends, and he’s an amnesty supporter. So for those reasons, he’s not on my list.

This is an incredibly stupid thing for Trump to focus on.
Sorry, I’m a Trump supporter also and I do NOT want him to self destruct. The problem with Trump is .. if he has advisors he wouldn’t listen to them.
There is nobody to put a strait Jacket on him and take him to the beach for a couple of days.
I am not a member of a "church of nice," FWIW. I do attend church with zero R establishment types or liberals - many of us are active in the Tea Party.
But we do understand wanting our candidates to behave in a dignified manner. We also understand a difference between attacking the personal and the policy.
I have teens. They are rock-ribbed conservatives, but on an emotional level, Donald Trump embarrasses them, and it's not because of his policies.
You are basically saying that it is necessary to attack Ben Carson's life story in order to bring him to heel, in order to save the country from illegal aliens. So - it's ok to bash a few Christians in order to get the job done. Mocking Ben Carson's life story isn't the same thing as mocking his policy positions. It just makes for bad politics among the base, and I think it's a mistake.
I don't consider Donald Trump to be my only choice in the matter, thankfully.
When I'm tired I do dumb things.

The point is Carson’s support was fleeting and temporary by people intrigued by a conservative, religious Black man.
Trump looks bad in this. I don’t want Trump to look bad.
I don’t want him to self-destruct.
But most of the outrageous things he’s said before have been things we all agree on and say ‘amen’ to. This is not.
Let's see: our country is already occupied by generations of Marxist-schooled elites who prefer communism and atheism. Church attendance is the lowest it has ever been in the history of our nation. Our media establishment is complicit in the international socialist efforts to destroy our Constitution and individual rights. Perhaps 75% to 90% of our nation's people are involved in drugs, porn or sexual sins. The schools are teaching perversion of everything we hold dear and subjecting children to emotional and spiritual abuse. Our present Administration is purposefully enabling our nation to be INVADED by overwhelming immigration from other cultures, including terrorists and criminals with no background checks, and one of those cultures in particular has sworn "Death to America" -- so our Administration has vowed to send them $1.4 billion dollars. We're already being overrun, but the president and DOJ are also fomenting a race war inside the nation; and let's not forget: God may not deign to save us due to the millions of abortions for the past half century.
But wait! Some of us still cling to our guns and our Bibles, and want to run the race to the end. have repented of all the above national sins, and want God's blessing for us to fight to save our country. We'd like to have a chaplain, yes; but more than that, we NEED a fierce and fearless warrior, a David, a General Patton, a Charles Martel to LEAD us into the battle for our God, our land, our families, our children, our Constitution, our way of life. Onward, Christian soldiers! (Wait -- not you, Charles. You've accurately pointed out that our General is not nice.)
Ofor course we agree. I am Catholic, and Catherine is not. We disagree strongly about particular theological issues. But we both understand redemption through Christ. And you, and more importantly, chump trump, do not. What aggravates it is his claim to be a Christian. By viciously attacking Dr. Carson at a personal level, on his very redemption in Christ, chump trump shows he’s more like a scribe or a parishes than a follower of our Master. Chump trump may have been baptized Presbyterian, but there is no evidence that it took. By his actions, he appears to be a baptized pagan. And a rotten one, at that. And by his treatment of Dr. Carson, he tells all of us evangelically -inclined (Protestant and Catholic) to go away. And we will. In very large numbers.
Let's see: you're turning on him, you've already abandoned your post; you're ready to help Hillary get elected by making an oath not to vote unless your Cruz miracle comes true; but you're blaming the media instead of your fearfulness.
Buck up, soldier; this is war.

And Teddy Roosevelt’s personality was almost identical to Trump’s. He called those that came at him every name in the book. He never shut up.
I think you could be right. Thankfully, I don't think Trump will get the nomination. He has too many opportunities to open his mouth before any delegates are chosen, and it is performances like last night that will bring him down.
I do agree that Carson's rise has been heroic, and he is a role model. But his demonstrated intellectualism, Seventh-Day Adventistism and hand-eye skills don't make him the man we need to take on the thugs inhabiting the world stage right now, who are deterimined to kill your children BECAUSE they are American Christians. Don't send your lambs to the slaughter by thinking the whole armor of God would not permit actual warfare with the weapons at hand, including a hard-nosed negotiator with rude manners. He, too, is a child of God and a tool of the Holy Spirit. It's not for you to judge his heart.

Carson’s trying to hide something. Trump I would suspect already knows the details. This multi-billionare didn’t become filthy rich being stupid. He’s also from NYC. They play hardball there. I need not say more.
