On today's Morning Joe, Mika Brzezinski said of Ben Carson "I want to be very careful with my words, but he just doesn't sound completely connected with everything."
Judging from her halting cadence, Mika clearly seemed to realize that she was treading on some very controversial mental-health ground. The lead-in to her "connected" comment was her observation "he tried to kill his mother for God's sake! . . . we have been listening to this man talk in a flat monotone tone about taking a hammer to his mother's head."

My personal thoughts are that he’s devoting that last full measure of pandering in order to rise up above Trump. A lot of crazy thoughts on Puerto Rico, Second Amendment, Amnesty and the like.

Obama isn’t “connected” with anything American like the Constitution or the Bill of Rights so “what difference does it make?!”
I don't think Carson has a screw loose. I just think that he's lived in his own little protected bubble for the past 40 years and doesn't really understand what the average person goes through or what's going on in the world.
