"If approaching our coasts, the French nuclear aircraft carrier 'Charles de Gaulle' will be directly targeted" (Syrian General)

The Syrian General Mohammad Issa, one of the top commanders of the Syrian army has threatened to target France's aircraft carrier directly if he dares to approach the Syrian coast.

Interviewed by the Russian agency Sputnik, the Syrian General said: "The announcement made by France to involve the nuclear aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle, in military operations in Syria will force the country's army to directly target the aircraft carriers".

Focusing on French air strikes in Syria, Issa said: "These strikes target Syrian oil wells and all this is done without the approval of Damascus government, which for us means the violation of our sovereignty".

"The Western coalition has targeted so far no position or camp of Daech or other terrorist groups. Through its strikes France seeks to bomb our oil wells as revenge against Damascus who did not give to France any oil concessions", insisted the Syrian General Mohammad Issa."

I knew it would take a lot to draw France in... Must be a cold winter coming and the Syrian gas and oil are important.

What drew France in was Russian air strikes putting ISIS on retreat and the opportunity for Hollande to go after some low hanging fruit ... Wonder how many security guards and oilfield workers they killed

Viva la France

Well now. Looks like the Frenchy’s got their bluff called. Will they now go all in ? And all of this over one man, Asad. Can understand now why the Europeans have tried to kill each other off so often.

Before the deGualle can approach Syria it first has to not break down....

Before the Syrians can have an aircraft carrier, they need to build one. That goes for the Russians, too.

Tons of misinformation and misdirection on the whole Syria/Assad/ISIS issue. For every Kremlin troll advocating Putin’s foreign policy there are 3 or 4 dupes who cite pro-Russian websites as sources. Discouraging.

Assad backed Iraqi Sunni rebels aka Al Quaeda-in-Iraq aka ISIS against US and Coalition forces in Iraq and even sent volunteers and support personnel to Iraq. We collected passports of Syrian KIAs operating away from the Syrian border.

We took a substantial amount of casualties due to Syrian, Iranian and Russian support of both Sunni and Shia rebels in Iraq.

Payback’s a bitch.

Couldn’t give a Rat’s A about Assad, his Iranians or the Russians in Syria. They are all terrorist-support groups who are reaping the whirlwind of the instability in Iraq they promoted from 2004 to 2009.

The hand they fed is biting them.

F-15C’s to Turkey and a French aircraft carrier moving into position? Maybe. It would seem that the material for a “No Fly Zone” is moving into position and that it’s just a matter of declaration.

The thing is... the Russian airforce has a veto.

Well duh! What does he think the Obama admin and coalition countries have been letting ISIS reign for? It is to lose your sovereignty stupid. That’s what ALL of the so-called “Arab Spring” debacles are designed to do.

I don’t understand why all the major powers arnt United against isis.

It's because they are blinded by their insane political correctness which stems directly from their anti Christian bigotry. They cannot identify evil.

"Iran, Al Qaeda, Russia, China, now France."

China is not involved in any fashion.

Where does this nonsense originate?

There are certain war mongers in our congress who push us to support mulim terrorists. If Russia/Syria were to take care of that problem the overall problem would be solved. I’m just making a point. I’m not suggesting anything.

The Chinese government has repeated called these poorly sourced reports "nonsense".

And no Chinese assets have been spotted in Syria.
