Conservative Free Republic - You Need REALITY and the Savior

My dear friends, I know I'm going to get it for this post but in love I must say it (2 Cor. 12:15). Someone has to and it might as well be me. For the past 8 years I have been feeling the spiritual temperature at Free Republic and other conservative forums and have found that moral and biblical relativism, biblical ignorance, conservative optimism, Christian ecumenicalism and the outright rejection of the TRUE Gospel of Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12, Rom. 10:2-4, 1 Cor. 15:1-4, Eph. 2:8-9) nearly dominate this and other conservative forums. Thank God for Free Republic, they do a great job, are sincere and mean well and are a great group of people who truly love America and conservatism as I do, but... that in itself is not enough to aid us in this dire hour. An individual today has to see the complete ETERNAL picture and that includes biblical REALITY and the reception of it. Conservatism without a saving relationship to Jesus Christ as the Holy Scriptures clearly teach is ETERNALLY bankrupt.

American conservatives of today are no different from the Pharisees of Jesus day. These were conservative, moral, go to "church" to put it in our day language and were quite familiar with the Old Testament, but when push came to shove they outright rejected Almighty God's righteousness and saving solution for their souls in SPIRIT and TRUTH and held their traditions and conservatism above the Word of Almighty God.

Thank God for some God fearing, Bible believing, evangelical presence at Free Republic, who help point America's conservatives to the Gospel, the REALITY of the hour and Almighty God's biblical perspective, but sadly these are usually scoffed at and laughed to scorn by American conservatives who are lost and without a saving relationship to Jesus Christ, the Messiah of Israel (Isa. 53, Matt. 7:21-32, Rom. 10:2-4, 1 Cor. 2:14). Tragically the dominant spirit there is one of unbelief, subjective conservative optimism, spiritual delusion and ETERNAL blindness (Rom. 10:2-4). The temperature and pulse of American conservatives who actually believe the Bible and its saving message is near dead and ice cold. That is a heart breaking reality that God the Father has had to show me these last five years and with tears in my eyes I wish I could change that but I cannot choose for an individual to receive the Savior. American conservatives of today are no different from the Pharisees of Jesus day. These were conservative, moral, go to "church" to put it in our day language and were quite familiar with the Old Testament but when push came to shove they outright rejected Almighty God's righteousness and saving solution for their souls in SPIRIT and TRUTH (John 4:24) and held their traditions and conservatism above the Word of Almighty God (Matt. 15:1-20, Rom.10:1-4).

The temperature and climate of American conservatives who actually believe the Bible and its saving message is dead and ice cold and that is a heart breaking reality that God the Father has had to show me.

My dear friends, oh how we need Divine REALITY today and not delusional optimism and worldly solutions for our EXPONENTIAL global crises. Almighty God cries out to you all day long but will YOU receive Him and His ETERNAL solutions for your life? That is the biggest question ALL must ask themselves in these last days. All these current events and crises of our global community are self induced by the lawless and godless works of fallen man and are driving this world straight into the Day of the Lord (Rom. 1:18-32, Gal. 6:7, Rev. 6-19). These products or fruits of evil men and their consequences are left in place to bring us to the brink of our delusions so that we may come out of our subjective selves and show us our desperate need for the Savior, His pardon, and His RIGHTEOUSNESS.

My dear friends, WHAT WILL YOU DO? Will you continue to look for worldly solutions and conservative human saviors or will you finally come to the end of yourself and receive the KING of kings and LORD of lords who is the WONDERFUL COUNSELOR and PRINCE of PEACE.

My dear friends, WHAT WILL YOU DO? Will you continue to look for worldly solutions and conservative human saviors or will you finally come to the end of yourself and receive the KING of kings and LORD of lords who is the WONDERFUL COUNSELOR and PRINCE of PEACE (Isa. 9:6-7, Rev. 19:11-16). All ETERNITY is before us and our brief existence in this fallen world is about gone. See the ETERNAL, see the Savior, see the REALITY and you will find the liberation and peace of Almighty God that will calm your hearts in America's last hours.

"Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved!" (Acts 16:29)!

The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!

Why would you enjoy knocking a fellow believer unless it appealed to your ego?

Also the OP stated "The temperature and climate of American conservatives who actually believe the Bible and its saving message is dead and ice cold". I don't see where he excluded you so why are you cheering him?

If anyone is guilty of painting with a broad brush, methinks it would be the author of the linked blogpost who presumptuously aggregates all “American conservatives who actually believe the Bible and its saving message” as a group that is dead and ice cold..

Maybe someone can tell me - isn’t “believing the Bible and its saving message” the definition of a Christian (check Acts 4:12 and Acts 16:31) or do you need to wear special underwear or go to a certain building labeled ‘Church’ as some seem to think..

Just sayin’

Was wondering that too. Maybe reading with comprehension is what is really lacking in conservative Christians, you think?

>> The main focus of life is to glorify Christ

The MAIN focus, yes.

That does not mean ONLY focus. For example, man must eat to live, and he who does not work should not eat (2 Th. 3:10). Therefore honest work is an important Christian virtue.

Similarly we are instructed in multiple places in New Testament Scripture to “honor the king” and respect governments. Well, in America WE the PEOPLE *are* the government and the king! Therefore it is befitting that every Christian involve himself in politics to an appropriate degree. Otherwise — satan will pull the strings.

Therefore praise GOD, and may GOD bless America and Free Republic!

The Apposle Paul said it perfectly.

I preach Christ and him crucified.

The Gosple in a nutshell is this: not that we loved God, but God loved us first and sent his son to be the propitiation for our sins.

Grace clothed in flesh came to dwell umong us then crucified on the cross for us.

The Gosple; he came to die a sinners death was buried then rose again.

I think that some just glossed over his post without actually catching the insults. It IS incredibly insulting that the OP believes that only he has the Truth and no one on FR does.

Doesn’t matter. The OP stated that FR is Christless. All of us. And only he has the truth. I disagree with him.

According to the poster of this thread FR is Christless. It’s in his link and his article.

"Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved!" (Acts 16:29)!

Yes. However the blogposter needs to be more certain of the scriptures he quotes. This is actually Acts 16:31...

One more thing... FR is basically a political forum. I think you're out of line.

And you have that correct as well. I wonder, since all "American conservatives who actually believe the Bible and its saving message" are dead and ice cold if that descriptive also applies to the blogposter, who by all evidence seems to self-identify as a Christian and a conservative..

I also am inquisitive as to whether the blogposter and his hurrah chorus do participate in the American political system by actually voting since he has pronounced conservatives who desire to utilize the process that our founding Fathers instituted (by the providence of God by the way - check Romans 13..;-)as being quote "dead and ice cold" and, apparently, not real enough Christians in their exalted eyes purely because of that desire to use the political system put forth by the Founders (and ultimately by God.. ;-)

There is the possibility that arises that it could be implied the blogposter doesn't avail himself of the political process (you know, set in motion by the founding fathers and Divine Providence) but instead stands outside the local polling place each election day and beats those actually voting over the head with a 97 pound Scofield.

You know, to fulfill the Great Commission and be a good witness...

Just sayin' ;-)

//Why would you enjoy knocking a fellow believer unless it appealed to your ego? //

Because many socalled ‘fellow believers’ aren’t really and the bible tells us we need to correct errant believers and those who claim to follow Christ but do not show it or put Ceasar (politics) first.

This isn’t about ego, this is about priorities and truth and some who claim to be Christians but have no clue what its really about.

And I agree with him, there are many conservatives who don’t believe the Bible. Many who voted for Romney for example. Since I put my faith, and the Bible above my politics I am excluded.

This isn't about ego,

It was for you the moment you said "This is getting fun."

the bible tells us we need to correct errant believers

Show me anywhere where you showed the love of Christ. People like you and the OP drive people away from Him.

Since I put my faith, and the Bible above my politics I am excluded.

Nope! "http://www.theignorantfishermen.com/2013/01/free-republic-conservative-christless.html." And "The temperature and climate of American conservatives who actually believe the Bible and its saving message is dead and ice cold". The OP only knocks other believers. Not a word about atheists.

Goodnight.

I note that we have a poster here that excludes him/herself from the condemnation of the original blogposter’s assessment that FR (on which they post) is “Christless” and that all “American conservatives who actually believe the Bible and its saving message (are) dead and ice cold”. They do so by making the self assessment that they, in their opinion, put their faith and the Bible above politics and are therefore excluded from the blogposter’s condemnation of all FReeper Christians (which by the way did not allow for such exclusion since the titular phrasing stated FR is Christless and they are on FR.)

I wonder if their Bible, you know, the one they claim to possess, includes 2 Corinthians 10:12.. It really would seem that they are NOT wise by that standard.. (The verse has something to say about the wisdom of measuring yourself and comparing yourself to yourself..)

Just sayin’

I would not say ‘haunted’, but I would suggest ‘convicted.’

It is not easy to sleep once the Holy Spirit of God begins to work in your conscience with this single question . . .

If you were to die this very instant, are you absolutely 100 percent certain that you would be in heaven with Christ as he promised believers? “To be absent from the body is to be present with Christ.”

If you can not answer that question with any certainty you are what God’s Word refers to as ‘lost.’

Kindred has merely obeyed his conscience by stating the facts as God has laid them upon his heart. He has delivered the message - what you do with it is up to you.

Jesus Christ is my blessed Saviour and my King.

As believers, we are to judge other believers, but we are not to judge those of the world.

With that in mind, I generally keep my religious commentary to the Religion Forum because I know they are believers. I don’t, however, know the hearts of anonymous freepers outside that forum.

If I am specifically called to witness to a particular individual, I will certainly do so.

Never forget that we belong to the Potter and are His to do with what He wants. The so-called near-dead and ice-cold American conservatives to whom you refer (here or elsewhere) serve His purpose whether they know it or not. They will answer when He calls if He wills it so. If He doesn’t, their hearts will remained hardened.
