He forgot to mention reining in the EPA, an anchor around the neck of the economy.

Just like his idea of getting 100,000 pastors to back him to defund Planned Parenthood...How'd that work out? He couldn't even rally enough people to get behind him on something as in your face horrible as that.

Ted Cruz is a weenie that likes to hear himself talk.

My husband and I are Trump supporters.

My husband does not like Ted Cruz, but even he cheered several times at things Ted Cruz said.

Getting rid of those burdens on polite society will save so much money(and aggravation).

600+ worthless federal gub mint agencies and Kashich only wants to slow the budget growth from 8 percent to 5 percent a year??

Ted Cruz did not mention the worst of the worst which is the EPA. This place needs to be bulldozed then nuked from orbit just to be sure.

From the article: I prefer to focus on the merits of what he has announced.

No, let's pick up the idiotic talking points of the Left.

Anyway, those who take the lead on substantial issues own and frame the debate. All others will respond to them on their terms. (See Donald Trump and immigration).

Ted has made a necessary, good and strategic move.

How can you eliminate the IRS with a flat INCOME tax? Someone will still have to decide which groups are tax exempt. Someone will still have to monitor your income. Tax cheating is still possible, so it too must be policed. This leaves the IRS with the same ability to politicize the process, the same motivation to spy on citizens.

As long as there is an INCOME tax, the problems of exemptions remain. As long as there is an income tax, politicians will be free to add/remove exemptions, deductions, & make special rules for “special” people.

Imagine the freedom that would bloom if there was no income tax. Preachers would again be free to speak their minds on matter of community importance from the pulpit. Political groups would be free to form & function as they please. Individuals & businesses would be free from massive government oversight & the expense of compliance. The giant hook of big government would be removed from individuals & businesses.

Abolish the income tax & replace it with a sales tax, preferably the Fair Tax. With a sales tax, the payer is anonymous. There are no exemptions. Tax collection is far simpler being collected from retailers, & already done in most states.

The lib media will never look a substance of a Cruz proposal and that is life as it is in America and we cannot whine about it.

Cruz’s 5 Plan is the best offered by ANY candidate. Trump’s 4 page tax plan fails in comparison.
