Louisiana isnât anywhere close to belonging on a list of swing states, yet Republican David Vitter is at risk of losing not only his gubernatorial race this month, but also his Senate seat next year.
The Pelican Stateâs senior senator has struggled to unify the Republican vote after finishing second in the Oct. 24 jungle primary with just 23 percent. He trails Democrat John Bel Edwards in multiple public polls heading into the Nov. 21 runoff.
Vitterâs numbers have dipped to a point where, should he lose, some Republicans will want him to drop his bid for re-election to the Senate in 2016 because they are concerned he could put the seat at risk of a Democratic takeover. Republicans are already defending senators in blue and purple states, and GOP strategists donât want to have to spend money in a state where President Barack Obama received 41 percent in 2012.

But in Louisiana, Edwards was at 49 percent, 52 percent, 54 percent and 52 percent in the four public polls conducted since the primary. If those polls are accurate, he may not need any undecided voters to win.

Roll Call is peddling Huffington Post propaganda polls !!!!
It's pure Dem party psych ops with phony polls .
Read the left Huffington post spin .
I wonder why posters post Dem party psych op here.
The entire left wing blog is pure DNC talking points !
“If his wife forgives him, why shouldnât I?”
That is a logical position to take; I don’t know why it is an issue again.
Voted for him last time. Good guy, very smart. Hope he ends up in the cabinet or something.
Ugggh. This is the SECOND thread I have read today that contains a comment bashing Todd Akin! There is enough conservative bashing throughout the internet, do we have to do it here too?
For the life of me, I do not understand the Christine O’Donnell bashing either! Christine won her primary fair and square defeating liberal GOPe Mike Castle. From the onset, GOPe bigwigs were saying Christine did not stand a chance. They did not even give her an opportunity to show how she could campaign.
Castle could not even win his primary! So why did so many GOPe “experts” keep saying he was the only Republican who could win the Delaware Senate seat? Was the GOPe that afraid of having a true conservative win that seat that they had to sabotage Christine? This just shows how morally bankrupt the GOPe-led Republican party is.
I like Jindal too. I’ve meet him on two occasions. Very nice down to earth guy who does not use teleprompters or cliff notes and talks like a machine gun. Before he was Governor I lived in his congressional district.
And naturally people post it here as the Gospel and never everrrrrr thinks it's just the usual Dem operatives at Left call psych ops .,
Funny how we forget the Bevin poll non stop lies by the same Dem operatives .
If people could sue these news and poll agencies for these intentional lies the game would end real quick
I haven’t liked Vitter’s ads too much. Edwards ads, I think, have been better. Edwards has been running a devastating ad against Vitter called Prostitutes before Patriots. I wonder how Edwards felt about Bill Clinton’s womanizing. Vitter has been a good senator for Louisiana.
He's also got a narrow chin, which dovetails with the Big Bang Theory meme of Indians as wussy little girlymen.
Might not have stuck to Jindal if he'd stayed home, minded his fences, and gone for another term as governor. People noticed he was out of town and didn't like it?
Jindal couldn’t run again. There’s a two term limit (at least on two consecutive terms - he can come back in 2019 if he so chooses).
Pelican State ping
No more Edwards!
That's what happened to Jindahl. Too many bubbas with too many thumbs in too many pies!
Edwards has been running a devastating ad against Vitter called Prostitutes before Patriots.
Maybe Vitter should hit back with something like “Rights before Refugees”, in response to the moozy imports 0 and the Dims are bringing to LA and the US.
vitter has raised millions for the governor race. if he loses, vitter only has 24k cash on hand for his senate race. he have trouble raising money for the senate with the perception of being a loser.
Vitter needs to step us the ads some kind of way, like pointing out that by supporting the liar, BO, Edwards has violated the West Point code of conduct. I’d like to know more of Edwards’ voting record. Why hasn’t he pointed any of that out?
