A high school that prides itself on diversity was thrown into the struggle for rights and justice on Thursday.

Uh, no, it wasn't thrown into anything of the sort. Nobody lost their freedom because someone put some disagreeable text onto a computer. No one has to go pick cotton for free. No one has to use separate drinking fountains or can no longer vote. The only thing that happened is some clod wrote some derogatory statements. The student has been found, and should be punished no matter who it was, because it was on school property.
