This subject has been talked about for decades. But I’ve never understood what benefit there is to the rest of us to make PR the 51st state.
And I never understand talk of Puerto Rico being a state, but never talk of the Virgin Islands, Guam, American Samoa etc becoming states. What is so unique about Puerto Rico among American possessions that it deserves statehood???
