Dr. Ben Carson (once he accomplished his first surgeries) has been "coddled" ... for both his accomplishments and because he's black ... sorry, that's the TRUTH ...

And you know this how?

.

If you haven’t figured out that Dr. Ben Carson hasn’t been “coddled” like a Super Bowl winning Quarterback ...

then, clearly, you need to get out more ...

It does not matter if Kyle Cheney fabricated part or all of the story. The story is out and the MSM is having a field day with it.

Rush has been casually mentioning that the media and the establishment fully expected (spell that, P L A N N E D) Carson to have a Herman Cain moment.

Well, the GOPe once again gott’er done.

Carson’s account was written how long ago? How much more detail could he recall back then? There is absolutely *nothing* about his description of events surrounding his ROTC service and encounter with West Point that merits the magnifying glass journalists refuse to apply to folks like Obama.

But it's another item in the trend:

First, Carson's nonsense that he "had no relationship with Mannatech," then saying immediately after "I did paid speeches for them," then immediately concluding "It is absurd to say I had a relationship with them." And then doubling down in the press conference, "I had no formal relationship with them" etc, meanwhile, Mannatech is putting money into his charities! And reading more details about his statements endorsing Mannatech, he sits there saying that the only reason he had an operation for his cancer is because he didn't want to give an example and tempt people "less diligent" than he is, who might not take their glyconutrients regularly, to potentially harm their health! Carson is basically saying that Mannatech's glyconutrients can cure cancer if taken diligently!

THEN, his responses about the childhood stabbing incident just seem fishier and fishier. He won't "out" the person who he attempted to stab. He says that the name he used in the book was not a real name. He then says it was a family member, but, again, doesn't want to put them under the spotlight. Meanwhile, the media is reporting that friends of his, classmates, are denying any knowledge of his volatile temper! Why wouldn't you then produce the potential victim at this point!?

I don't know about you, but it seems like you have to be really gullible to buy this s***.

You did not answer my question!

So I'll repeat it for you: And you know this how?

If you go read the Politico article now, there is a paragraph that states that General Westmoreland was not even in Detroit when Carson said it happened...

But, according to records of Westmoreland’s schedule that were provided by the U.S. Army, the general did not visit Detroit around Memorial Day in 1969 or have dinner with Carson. In fact, the general’s records suggest he was in Washington that day and played tennis at 6:45 p.m.

There are, however, several reports of an event in February of that year, similar to the one Carson described. Then, Westmoreland was the featured guest at a 1,500-person banquet to celebrate Medal of Honor recipient Dwight Johnson. The event drew prominent guests, including the governor at the time, the mayor of Detroit, the president of Ford Motor Company and nine previous Medal of Honor awardees, according to an Associated Press account of the event.

I don't know how this happened, but it was very disgusting...

I am solid behind Trump, but I don't care who the person was, we in America have higher standards than this..

Whether Carson said or inferred or whatever, this was a bad mark towards America and Americans to stoop this low to make a point...

This author should be fired immediately and feel what's its like to be ‘branded’ with this vile nonsense...there are more respectable ways of getting your point across...

Anybody who bothered to read the article as I did could tell from the moment it was posted, was a hack job. Rule #1 as a matter of principle.. DON’T EVER, EVER TRUST THE LEFT WING MEDIA!

“Did some GOPe underlings who support Carson as their hope of stopping Trump have a hand in planting this story and then forcing its retraction?”

It certainly got Carson the SYMPATHY VOTE yesterday and probably this weekend...which may shoot breathe life back into him. Looks like Rush and a lot of people here took that bait.

Bottom line is that Carson still flat-out lied, even if Politico reported it incorrectly...but now Carson’s lies are off-the-table, because of Politico’s so-called mistake.

Considering that Carson appears to be the ONLY PERSON in the Republican Party left that can stop Trump (but has been getting shaky lately), and that the media, the Democrats, and the GOPe all want to stop Trump, your theory makes PERFECT SENSE to me, as it pretty much shut down all the kook-stuff Carson has been saying lately, also.

While I really like Carson. He’s not 100% with me on all issues. And of course many here want the perfect candidate which is not living in the real world. If he hits 87 to. 90% of your issues, that’s the most you can expect.

That said I worry Clinton will make mincemeat out of Carson in a debate. She has been working the angles for 30 years— he hasn’t. And it’s a worthwhile theory that might end up in his favor. Somehow I don’t think so. They’re already painting this guy as insane. So there’s that.

However, MSM will go after any of our guys with the same vengeance. They will wait for Trump to get the nod , then unleash some kind of bloody hell on him. Something that no matter how direct and alpha male he is, he just can’t get out of. Something so despicable that there isn’t a chance for him. Probably along the lines of abusve nature and rape of women, or 2 or 3 ladies that sign up to do just that for Hillary.

So my point is, and I’m not accusing any Freepers here, is that we have to be wary of going along with this kind of crap against any of our candidates. They’ll just destroy this one, and move on to the next.

That’s a good observation. Attacking the IRS is also good politics for obvious reasons. There’s a lot to exploit in such a target rich environment as many Americas are totally frustrated with government in general. However, its best to keep the message simple and focus in on one or two objects of American disdain.

But I agree with you, the media scum should be the number one target.

I’m an archaeologist, and most other archaeologists don’t know shit about politics, except for leftist tripe. I, on the other hand, was reading Buckley when I was 13 or 14. I don’t fault Carson for not knowing archaeology.

It’s not about his ego, it’s about what he can contribute. As near as I can tell, the only thing Carson was offered ie affirmative action was a chance or recommendation to get in to the ‘Point. Carson doesn’t seem like the Colin Powell ticket puncher type to me.

People of your ilk who pile on with the Marxist media aren’t helping any. BTW, my first choice is Cruz, so don’t bother labeling me as a Carson hack. I would, by God, vote for him in the general, though, if he were the nominee.

I am glad that your seeing what I am seeing...we need to stop this ‘witch hunt’ reporting and the only way to do that is bring it out and talk about it...

America deserves better than this, She deserves better than the Clintons and the obumas....She deserves respect for her people, that are legal, that obey Her laws...

This was a ‘witch hunt’ and a vile and disgusting piece of garbage and the writer should be fired immediately!!!
