ROCK HILL, S.C. — Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul hammered Hillary Clinton for her hawkish foreign policy Friday evening, less than an hour before the former secretary of state was scheduled to arrive at Winthrop University for the "First in the South" Democratic presidential forum.

"I think Hillary Clinton is a neocon," the GOP hopeful told MSNBC's Chris Matthews.

"She supported the war in Iraq, in Afghanistan," Paul said of the presumptive Democratic nominee.

He added, "If Hillary Clinton is president, we will be back at war in the Middle East."

The Kentucky senator also took jabs at one of his Republican rivals, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio.

Paul said Rubio "agrees with Clinton" on foreign policy and indirectly accused him and other Republican hopefuls of being "naive" in their understanding of foreign affairs.

A living example of our Uniparty system in Washington, working for Dick Cheney, GWB’s NATO ambassador, then for Secretaries of State Hillary Clinton and John Kerry.

I couldn't agree more. I don't think we can put an end to human corruption but, perhaps, a multiparty system would make it harder for the control freaks.

...brain dead voting class....

I'm wondering if the real Trump effect isn't that the voting class is waking up. Here in OH, as an example, there was some real complicated stuff up as amendments to the state constitution and locally some pols and some issues that really needed to be defeated.

The media seem speechless. It looks like the voting public actually read through and past all the garbage and got it right.

The arrogant, elitist, and don't-give-a-damn about little folk pols are mostly beyond redemption. But voters, whose well-being is threatened? I haven't given up hope.

Hillary is a Liberal Interventionist, or Liberal Internationalist, or national security democrat, or leftwing hawk.

Some of the more hawkish Liberal Interventionists such as Joe Lieberman were often called leftwing NeoCons, which is why NeoCon John McCain and Lieberman were good buddies.

NeoCons and Liberal Interventionists are Idealists. Both are big on humanitarianism and nation building.

But, Liberal Interventionists are multilateralist while NeoCons are unilateralists.

When Victoria Nuland worked for George Bush she was a NeoCon. When she went to work for Obama she was a Liberal Interventionist. Today, Nuland is best known for the Benghazi talking points memo.

Some may recall from 2011, after Obama agreed to intervene in Libya, Bill Kristol(King of the NeoCons) proclaimed Obama to be a "born again NeoCon".

The reality is that the NeoCons were hell bent on unilateraly intervening in Libya, and Obama agreed to intervene only after the multi lateral agreement was reached.

The dirty little secret out there is that if Trump, Cruz, or Rand Paul get the GOP nomination, the NeoCons will be voting for Hillary.

He's absolutely right about this. The big-government globalists who backed Jeb Bush's sorry-assed campaign will have no trouble backing Hillary Clinton now.

It's no coincidence that this country's military campaigns and foreign policy initiatives all seem to benefit major donors to the Clinton Foundation and real estate investment partners of the Bush family.

You are making a mistake to focus solely on Victoria Nuland.

You need to focus on the two brothers Fred and Robert Kagan and their wives, Kimberly Kagan and Victoria Nuland.

Kimberly Kagan ran the Institute for the Study of War. Elizabeth O'Bagy worked for Kagan. O'Bagy took McCain to Libya to meet the moderate Syrian rebels and after she was fired for padding her resume, she went to work for McCain.

Only in the sense that neo-con is the opposite of a classic liberal.

Fortress America Ron Paul Jr. has spoken. To him Neville Chamberlain would have been a warmonger.
