The good news is that McDonald's is selling french fries again in Venezuela for the first time in 10 months. The bad news is that Venezuela's economy is in such shambles a large bag of fries costs about 10% of a monthly minimum wage.

The "new" fries, which are now being sourced from Venezuelan farms because it's too difficult and costly to import potatoes, were introduced this week with a cheeky social media campaign, that displayed them as somewhat of a mystery item that's coming to a McDonald's near you.

However, if you pay in dollars, they’re only 50 cents!

Milk used to be $.50/gal. It’s now about $4.

Best steak I ever had was at the “Cattlemen’s Club” in Valencia, Venezuela but that was back in 07. Mcd’s was just like here just cleaner and better service.

Feel the Bern of socialism.

When I order a hamburger in a pub, I usually ask for it with nothing but the bun, swiss cheese and bacon.

No lettuce. No tomato. No pickle. No ketchup. No salt. No pepper. No nothing except for the burger, the bacon, the cheese and the bun. It's very good that way.

Okay, I'll take fries with that.

Southern Tier Pumking beer goes very good with said burger this time of the season. You try getting that down in Venezuela. Not going to happen!

Socialism works until
you run out of fries.

For me it was a New York strip steak in Woodward, Oklahoma.
So fresh, you practically stuned your own Black Angus.
Ten dollah, you eat long time.

Why McDonalds even tries in that third world hell hole is beyond me. Maybe it is a franchise with last gasps?

think its probably up to the owner of the franchise to make it or break it,...and In bennyzwayluh... Id say there chances of long term survival must be pretty slim.
