We actually have a slightly larger study from an organization that uses real actual money (or at least Federal Resrve Notes), it’s called the Internal Revenue Service. It has been repeatedly documented that religious people on average are far more generous.

I know we spend time warning my niece about how counterproductive it can be to be nice to everyone. From my life experience, a lot of people really mean you harm - especially atheists.

“The results of a poll can be determined by the question asked and how it is asked.”

Would you rather vote for the Hildebeest or run over your pet with a truck?

Gee, look how much support she has.

I agree.

Ask yourself this question: if you had a bunch of kids living next door to you, would you rather they be Christian or not religious? I’d take the church going Christian ones any day.

They do not know what they are talking about. They have as much credibility as CNBC does with Christians/Conservatives.

The stingy ones are on the left... the liberals only want to give freebies for votes, with someone else’s money.

A new study in the journal Current Biology found children in religious households are significantly less generous than their non-religious peers. . . . .Americans overwhelmingly elect Christian representatives, and they distrust atheists.

So I guess this study will be useful if and when we start electing children to office. On second thought, maybe not.

“Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.”
Mathew 19:24 Mark 10:25

There are similar beliefs in Buddhism where great wealth portends an unfortunate next life and poverty of the strictest sort is supposed to be part of the life of the Monks.

Perhaps this so called study is impacted by Muslim lack of charity for non believers.

A tithe of my income goes to church every year, and that is on top of the personal causes I support. And, yet this study claims I am among the least generous ?!?! Who are you going to believe, a hateful godless athiest journalist or your own eyes? So stupid it burns.

Given adult christian giving in the usa compared to non, i highly doubt the validity of this study.

"Oh really...so Atheist charities must give the most to the needy around the world? Oh wait...there are no atheist charities.?.? Ok, sorry..."

Not to mention there ARE Muslim charities around the world. I remember seeing Cat Stevens (Yusuf Islam) passing out money to street beggars.

I thought, wow, what a kind gesture.

Turns out he was only giving to Muslim beggars.

He'd probably spit on a Jewish beggar, or turn him into the "authorities"

But I know that's unrealistic because Jewish (or Christian) beggars would already be killed.

So there aren't a whole lot of other "groups" that Mr. Stevens COULD be so generous to.

According to all studies before the recent anti-Christian agenda, Christians were found to be much more generous than their secularist peers at all age levels. I do not believe this study.
