Attempts to build a multicultural society in Germany have "utterly failed", Chancellor Angela Merkel says. She said the so-called "multikulti" concept - where people would "live side-by-side" happily - did not work, and immigrants needed to do more to integrate - including learning German.

In 2010 you said that multiculturalism has "utterly failed" in Germany. Why do you think it will be any different in 2015?

Why is Merkel still chancellor?
After hearing Merkel, if I was a German I would be terrified over her statements.
She has had first hand recent examples to show immigration of Muslims into Germany, or anywhere else for that matter, is not working, and Merkel is going to increase it.

I think she clarified later that it had not worked because “germans had not done enough”
either way though, IMO the germans should stage a coup and forcibly oust her.
Typical progressive thinking there. But the question still stands. What has changed since 2010? Are the Germans now willing to "do enough", by Merkel's standards?
Because if they aren't, Merkel has got to know that it's Utter Failure, Part 2.
Because Germans have always been feeble-minded weaklings led around by socialists. Hitler was a socialist and so is Merkel.
One theory - not necessarily mine - is that the Germans are culturally predisposed to simply follow behind a strong leader.
The Kaiser, Hindenburg, Hitler, Merkel...all come to mind.
