Thank you, yes, thank goodness we are home safe and sound. Stopped in Ohio early yesterday morning and stayed in a hotel when it was clear me and DIL could not drive safely at 2:30 am. Couldn’t take a chance with two babies in the car. We got home late, but safe. Babies both in casts. Need to return to St. Louis in three weeks to have them removed.
I MISSED QUINN! I had very little internet access, believe it or not. Also not much tv. When we did, I did not watch politics because I didn’t want to make DIL sit through that. I have a lot of catching up to do! How did everybody’s elections go? I didn’t get to vote yesterday. I never miss an election!!
I’m in Indiana County. One of the commissioners wives works in my office. Lovely sweet woman. Her husband lost. She said they are at peace with it. But HOW did Armstrong county go dem? How?? Isn’t Obama wanting to close down power plants in that county? What’s wrong with the voters there???
Ugh! All three supreme court justices went dem? Pa deserves what it gets. >:(
On the good side, our county went all Republican again. This, in spite of IUP being here.
Oh, I meant that one of the ARMSTRONG COUNTY commissioners wives works in our office here in Indiana Co. Both our republican commissioners won, in spite of the new county assessment that was just done and caused so much controversy. They are excellent men. I’m glad they both won.

I don’t understand Westmoreland County at all anymore. The “newbie” Commissioner, Gina Cerilli is still in law school (at Duquesne, partially paid for by tuition assistance of the County Water Authority) and has only worked in PR for the Water Authority. But she was Miss Pennsylvania (and as I didn’t grow up out here...I’m not sure who she is related to...but she has relatives—it was in the Trib—in politics.)
Any who...the Dem commissioner, Ted Kopas, has been door to door in our neighborhood in both his elections. Both times PaDad talked w/him at length and hubby thought he was an ok guy.
I really don’t know about the rest. The R party in our area is pretty much “triple top secret handshake” and our Tea Party kinda fizzled. Too many refugees from eastern Allegheny County I fear.
