Democrats Blame 'Trump-Mania' for Matt Bevin Victory in Kentucky

Democrats stunned by Matt Bevin's victory in the race for Kentucky governor blamed "Trump-mania" for the Tea Party candidate's unlikely 53%-44% win over Democrat Jack Conway.

"Attorney General Jack Conway ran a strong campaign focused on the issues that matter to Kentuckians: good schools, good-paying jobs and economic opportunity," said Elisabeth Pearson, executive director of the Democratic Governors Association, in an official statement on the results.

Pearson added: "Unfortunately, he ran into the unexpected headwinds of Trump-mania, losing to an outsider candidate in the year of the outsider. While Jack Conway came up just short tonight, his presence in this race strengthened the issues debate in Kentucky."

Ok all you KY people: I know next to nothing about Bevin except he was crushed vs. McConnell in the primary. I really hope he is good, but I would urge my KY brothers and sisters to remember in the past six years we have elected other "Tea Party" candidates like Rand Zpaul, Pat Toomey, Kelly Ayotte, and Marco Rubio.

Look how that turned out.

I WOULD be a landslide IF the Dem won. When they lose, they’re “just short”.

The reaction of the Democrats here seems to clear up any doubts about Trump being unable to win a General Election.

Beginning with Trump’s border wall and immigration stance, he rose a great big sail for the country’s ship.

Comments from someone who actually lives in Kentucky:

1. I travel in conservative circles and I don’t know anyone who is a rabid Trump fan. I’m for Cruz myself.

2. I don’t perceive a strong anti immigrant movement here at all.

3. I voted early, saw almost no one else at the polling place and thought we would lose.

4. I saw virtually no TV ads for Bevin, and no positive ads by Conway.

5. I hope Conway enjoys a long career in the private sector. He’ll probably become a personal injury attorney.

6. On a negative note, Alison Baby Barbara Boxer Grimes was elected as attorney general, so Democratic corrupt in this state will live on.

So to REPLACE a Democrat Governor a Democrat ran a campaign promising good schools, good paying jobs and a better economy? Obviously the irony here was missed!

This excuse is evidence of what I say has been the primary reason all of the establishment is terrified of the “Trump Mania”.

Each and every ballot next November will have what we know as a down ballot. If all goes as it is and Trump scores big through SEC Tuesday, it is all over, especially since he is regularly getting about 25% of the black vote.

I cannot speak for other states, but I do know with the primary in Florida is March 15th. The filing deadlines for other offices are;

Judicial, State Attorney and Public Defender (All Except 20th Circuit)
Noon, May 2, 2016 – Noon, May 6, 2016
Note: Qualifying papers will be accepted beginning April 18, 2016, pursuant to Section 99.061(8), F.S.
U.S. Senator, U.S. Representative, State Senator, State Representative, County Offices and Special Districts
Noon, 20 June, 2016 – Noon, 24 June, 2016
Note: Qualifying papers will be accepted beginning June 6, 2016, pursuant to Section 99.061(8), F.S.

In other words, lots of time is at hand for “Trump Mania” coat tails effect as most civics aware folks know that ALL 435 seats in Congress are at stake in addition to 34 seats of the Senate.
“Trump Mania” could turn into a “Trump Tsunami” that could wash out the swamp on the Potomac.

Conway is an Obama clone. He was crushed in the Southeastern Coal Country region and the conservative Northern Kentucky suburbs of Cincinnati. He had Obama draped over him like a blanket in the campaign ads.

I saw almost no adds for Bevin, I saw tons of adds for Conway in the Louisville area. They were all personal attack ads. Shockingly so.

Fri. Two polls had Conway up by 5% pts. The win was by 9%pts. That’s not a landslide. A fourteen point swing is an earthquake. Yahoooooo

"While Jack Conway came up just short tonight,......"

Just short? Losing by NINE POINTS (53-44) is considered coming up just short while winning by 2 points is a blow out in the Liberal mind.

Boulder just voted in a new tax to fight climate change, how much lower can it go?

I don't think we want to know the answer to that. Never underestimate the destructive power of depraved socialists.
