I don’t know. we have the opportunity to be selective on who wins now that we have practically everything. I’d rather hope we don’t ignore our morals by having Vitter win. it would destroy the gains we have made. do we really want a cheater in office?

If this were a contest for sainthood, neither Vitter or Edwards would be in the running. Neither would the present pope. This is a race for Governor, and right now, there’s only one person running who has the record of accomplishment that will keep the state on a Conservative path.

I also need to add one other reason Vitter is in the position he’s in now is because outgoing Gov. Jindal is very unpopular, and that is spilling over into this race. Jindal and Vitter are not political allies, but that isn’t keeping the Democrat from trying to link them, and Edwards lucked out by having no real opposition that would harm him, while Vitter was under attack from liberals, the media, the party establishment and two RINOs to his left that split the vote.

The Democrat running for Governor is actually more conservative then scumbag Vetter

Stop lying. Vitter screwed a whore? The pusbag Edwards would screw the people of Louisiana. Freepers who push for candidates supported by radical Blacks have a screw loose. Radical Black democrats don't back the more conservative choice.

This is why I didn’t support Toomey. I don’t support liberal Republicans. Perhaps you don’t mind. Good luck with you GOPE group. You fit right in.

http://www.knoe.com/home/headlines/Endorse-John-Bel-Edwards-for-Governor-338978142.html

“Leadership matters at all levels of government,” said (RADICAL AFRO-SUPREMACIST) Monroe Mayor Jamie Mayo. “

“New Orleans Mayor Mitch (The Bitch) Landrieu said, “John Bel Edwards will be a partner with local governments and will help turn the state budget around (BY PUSHING FOR VAST LIBERAL SPENDING INCREASES) “

Eddie Edwards loves his favorite crony’s boy as well. You are in piss poor company.

You don't know what you're talking about. I've known Vitter for over 20 years. His voting record in the State House, U. S. Congress, and U. S. Senate is matched by very few anywhere, anytime.

You didn’t know him that well unless you were the one to get him hook ups. I can’t believe you aren’t disgusted by him.

I’m voting for him, and so is my wife. Fortunately, you do not live in, nor vote in my state.

If he cared about the issue he wouldn’t be in the PLANNED PARENTHOOD PARTY. And if he was wasn’t a tax and spend liberal he wouldn’t be democrat floor leader in the State House. Enough with the pro-dem propaganda, it has no place here.

This idiot is bragging that their liberal dem candidate is polling well? WTF? Should this be tolerated at FR?

I’m reminded of when a few idiots were supporting Stephen Colbert’s sister for Congress in South Carolina over that “adulterating scumbag” Mark Sanford. It just boggles the mind.

I have to presume that they were cheated on by a spouse and are projecting.

There's also a poll that has Nungessor, the Republican nominee for Lt. Gov, up only one point over Kip Holden, the Democrat mayor of Baton Rouge, which makes me wonder if some of these polls showing Vitter down double digits aren't suspect. I can't believe Holden is running a dead heat for Lt.Gov.

Nungesser should be close to 60%, high 50s on a bad night. Either the polling data is way, way off (and look how bad it was for KY showing Bevin trailing consistently), or Jindal has really poisoned the well for the GOP in LA (coupled with the savage attacks from the usual suspects) with the voters taking it out on Vitter-Nungesser.

Re: Jindal poisoning the well. Republicans pretty much romped in the other statewide offices that didn’t go into runoffs, and I think we even picked up a seat or two in the state House, pending the results of the upcoming runoffs. Even the open primary for governor had Republicans winning around 57% if you count all the candidates together. I don’t think the state would vote for Jindal again, but they seem fine with everyone else, except perhaps for Vitter.

Here’s the link on that Nungessor poll:

That 40-39% poll doesn’t pass the smell test. Republicans got a whopping 67% in the open primary. Unless there’s some serious disgust at Nungesser, I can’t see how he isn’t leading by a wide margin, at minimum, 20%.

It will be 51 Edwards to 40 percent Vitter if the black vote is 20 percent of the total turnout, predicts pollster Verne Kennedy of Gulf Breeze, FL. If 25 percent of blacks turn out, it will be 54 to 38 percent for Edwards. Vitter skipped some of the primary debates and seemed aloof to voters, many of whom want to see “the democracy” resurface in LA.

Edwin Edwards is not related to John Bel Edwards, who is the son of a former sheriff named Frank Edwards from Tangipahoa Parish. All of these Edwardses, however, are active Democrats.
