Interesting article. When I was growing up (in the 80s and 90s) I remember most Asians I met were Republicans. I was stunned when I saw the statistics from 2012. This article proves I wasn’t crazy. Asians used to largely vote Republican. What the hell happened?
Democrats convinced them that white Republicans are “racists.”
The democrats fooled them into thinking it is the more inclusive party. I guess superficially it seems that way since every republican nominee has been white male. Whereas the democrats nominated a half black for president. If Trump becomes president, you will see that trend reverse, because Trump is well known all over the world.
What the hell happened?

Republicans became Democrats in R jerseys.
When there isn’t much difference, why not the real thing instead of a lite version?
“Asians used to largely vote Republican. What the hell happened?”
Their kids, who were indoctrinated in American schools, grew up enough to vote.
Also, they have been steadily fed racially inflammatory messages by the Democrats and their media. See the television show “Fresh Off the Boat”. It is all about agitating Asians and engendering a sense of racial grievance.
Asians, Schmasians. We're all Americans now.
>>> What the hell happened?
Asians have mostly conservative view points, observe how they raise their children, and how they ‘behave’ at homes.
But they desperately want to ‘blend in’ in their professions, in most cases, highly skewed to white liberals (the more ‘successful’, the more rabid progressive). Insecurity, and a feeling of inferiority, I should say.
What happened? Massive immigration from China.
