During the recent No Labels-hosted Problem Solver Convention in New Hampshire, things got a little uncomfortable.

When Joseph Choe, an Asian-American college student, stood up to ask a question about South Korea, Donald Trump cut him off and wondered aloud: “Are you from South Korea?”

Choe responded, “I’m not. I was born in Texas, raised in Colorado.” His answer prompted laughter from the audience, and nothing more than a shrug from the GOP presidential candidate.

According to the US Census Bureau, in 2009, the median Asian household had a higher income (US$65,469) than the median white household ($51,863). Median black and Hispanic household incomes were $32,584 and $38,039, respectively.

If Asians like being discriminated against
in academia, they’re gonna love Democrats.

Asians are voting against their own interest by going democrat. They have the higher family incomes than whites, Hispanics and Blacks.

Asians come from countries where paternalistic, nanny-state government is ingrained in the culture. It’s really that simple.

If you read the article, it claims Asians feel discriminated by white republicans. This is hogwash. I am south Asian ancestry, and I would not want to live in any other country. And I have voted republican since becoming US citizen since 1972.

Interesting article. When I was growing up (in the 80s and 90s) I remember most Asians I met were Republicans. I was stunned when I saw the statistics from 2012. This article proves I wasn’t crazy. Asians used to largely vote Republican. What the hell happened?

When we examine presidential exit polls, we see that 74% of the Asian-American vote went to the Republican presidential candidate just two decades ago. The Democratic presidential vote share among Asian Americans has steadily increased from 36% in 1992, to 64% in the 2008 election to 73% in 2012. Asian Americans were also one of the rare groups that were more favorable to President Obama in the latter election.

This is no mystery. During the GHWB administration, legal immigration was increased from 500,000 to 800,000 and has been around 1,1000,000 for the past decade. In the decades since 1992, millions more Asians have immigrated to the US and recent immigrants simply gravitate toward the Dims, including Asians.

The Dims have been importing voters in large numbers for more than two decades, and in lesser numbers before that.

Anyone that easily offended is not going to be a Republican even if they are blue and come from Pluto.

Democrats convinced them that white Republicans are “racists.”

It also explains why they are bad drivers - they have very little ability to take personal responsibility.

The democrats fooled them into thinking it is the more inclusive party. I guess superficially it seems that way since every republican nominee has been white male. Whereas the democrats nominated a half black for president. If Trump becomes president, you will see that trend reverse, because Trump is well known all over the world.

Aw common...I bought my first car in 1960, a Buick 1952 Super followed by Corvair, Impala, Malibu, Firebird, Probe, Pontiac G5, Chevy HHR (all bought new except the Buick) and do not have a single accident in all these years of driving. And I am south Asian ancestry.

It also explains why immigrants from Asia always move to cities and affluent suburbs. Michael Dukakis looked more natural in a tank than an immigrant from Japan or Korea would look in a Ford pickup truck.

Orientals make tons of cash, and then jump in their BMWs to drive their parents, grandparents, aunts, & uncles to the “free” public health clinic.
