I think the bigger news on this is Cruz is only one point behind Rubio even after all the Cruz-bashing the media has done along with all the Rubio build-up the media has done.
Look at that!
Here’s my take: I am a big Cruz supporter. But he comes off as the geek/knowitall we all hated in College. Carson comes off as the guy everyone wants as a dinner guest. I suspect both on the micro level are really nice guys, but perception is everything.

Carson will be easier for Hillary to beat than Trump because Trump fights, while Carson won't.
My wife thinks he walks on water and I can’t talk to her about any positions of his. I gave up trying.
I caught the story about this poll on NBC nightly news.
I couldn’t get to the remote fast enough to change the channel after watching my local news.
Anyway they showed Carson arriving at a book store, for a signing I would assume, and it looked like a couple of hundred people were there.
They didn’t show anyone outside waiting to get in either.
I still wonder if the “Good Doctor” is in this in order to sell his books.
I watched the cnbc debate over the weekend. Cruz was outstanding. Trump did well. Even Huckleberry did well. Carson didn’t F up but (like you say) his performance was weak.
Someone or something is influencing this poll.
Funny how Carson is losing big in NC, NH, FL, SC, MA, and again losing in Iowa in the latest polls, but somehow WSJ/NBC can find Carson winning by 6 pts nationally? Uh no.
For a year, ever since Carson started getting noise, I've speculated that he was a vanity candidate and nothing more. In it to sell books with the added credibility of being a "leading Republican presidential contender."
Based on the polls it would be strange if you actually saw a bumpber sticker for graham or bush

I know a few, mostly at church. They read something somewhere that makes Ben sound “religious” so they’re all gung ho for him. Upon gentle examination it turns out they are low-info and unaware of many of his dodgy attributes. I don’t think their support has any staying power.
What does Trump have on Carson that Carson can’t hit Trump as hard or harder with?
They have similar vulnerabilities. Have not always been Republicans, no political experience, past support of gun control, involvement with questionable MLMs, associations with Liberals.
Trump was also rabidly pro-abortion in the past and gave hundreds of thousands to radical, left wing Liberals.
I see very few supporters for Carson on FB. He’s a ‘nice’ guy and would be good in another position but no one trusts him as prez.
You can’t eff up if people don’t hold it against you if you’re comatose. If Gentle Ben crawled into a cave and hibernated for the winter, he’d hit 50%. If he dropped dead, he’d be near 100.
Carson knows ZIP about being President. He is an open invitation for our enemies to attack us hard. He is a Pacifist who does not believe in combat and his persona is Weakness Personified.
He doesn’t even believe in enforcing our immigration laws, is a mass of contradictions on the 2nd Amendment, his tax plan sucks, and his association with Al Sharpton and Luis Farrakhan echo Obama’s.
Weren’t these the same poll numbers of Carson Trump from before the 3rd debate?
I think they are lying again....oh well, we Trump supporters know the truth....and the truth will come out, just sit back and watch....
