Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush says he's conflicted about the death penalty.
The former Florida governor says on NBC's "Meet the Press" he had a hard time "as a human being" signing death warrants, in part because it conflicts with his Catholic faith. He adds that executions take too long to carry out and the years of delay do not help the victims' families. Bush says he remains a supporter of capital punishment but feels public policy should be reformed.

Pandering to the BLM movement.
Adios Jeb!
He is truly in the wrong party.
pussy.
can’t put himself in the victim’s shoes.
Shut up, Jeb...really, I don’t want to be disgusted with you, I just want you, the nation needs you - to just go away.
It is almost incomprehensible that the man who killed William McKinley was tried and executed a mere 45 days after McKinley had died. 45 days.
He’s a hypocrite.
Bill Clinton supported the death penalty. Just goes to show most of todays republicans are more liberal than liberals not long ago.
Who cares what he says. He’s not going anywhere.
Ya, just execute the murderers.
Just more proof this guy is too weak when it comes to making hard decisions. He’d probably be compassionate towards muslim terrorists and would rather they get life in prison than sending them off to their fictitious 72 virgins.
Seriously, at this point, almost anything he says makes him look worse. He has foot in mouth disease. Had he just shut up from the start, he would be doing much better in the polls, but he just seems incapable of “putting a sock in it.”
It used to be a diagnostic criteria for mental illness that such people told others what they *really* thought. Mentally healthy people just don’t do that, unless it at least has a veneer of diplomacy and tact.
With that level of pandering to the Left and Black racialist complaints against law enforcement, it sounds like Jeb is serious about running for President — even if it means rejecting his own work as a Florida Governor who signed numerous death warrants and his defense of the justice and fairness of the state’s death penalty.
“Rope is much more plentiful and easy to buy. “
How about increasing the shooting practice by the millions of gun owners by opening up executions to them.
Remember, practice makes perfect and those gun owners need the practice.
Funny, they don’t conflict with MY Catholic faith.
Although I’d prefer criminals to end up in jail rather than in Death Row, where they get mani/pedis, law degrees, down pillows or whatever it is they get - for decades. Texas Fast Track is the right idea. Rid the community of vermin. It’s kind of like Vector Control.
Unless it was Terri Schiavo.
Yet another reason to dump Bush.
If gay marriage is to be enforced across the board, then the whole country should have to follow the same laws for murder as Texas.
And the same gun laws as Vermont.
