One point weâve been particularly keen on driving home since the beginning of Russian airstrikes in Syria is that The Kremlinâs move to step in on behalf of Bashar al-Assad along with Vladimir Putinâs open âinvitationâ to Washington with regard to joining forces in the fight against terrorism effectively let the cat out of the proverbial bag.
That is, it simply wasnât possible for the US to explain why the Pentagon refused to partner with the Russians without admitting that i) the government views Assad, Russia, and Iran as a greater threat than ISIS, and ii) Washington and its regional allies donât necessarily want to see Sunni extremism wiped out in Syria and Iraq.
Admitting either one of those points would be devastating from a PR perspective. No amount of Russophobic propaganda and/or looped video clips of the Ayatollah ranting against the US would be enough to convince the public that Moscow and Tehran are a greater threat than the black flag-waving jihadists beheading Westerners and burning Jordanian pilots alive in Hollywood-esque video clips, and so, The White House has been forced to scramble around in a desperate attempt to salvage the narrative.
Well, it hasnât worked.
With each passing week, more and more people are beginning to ask the kinds of questions the Pentagon and CIA most assuredly do not want to answer and now, US Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard is out calling Washingtonâs effort to oust Assad both âcounterproductiveâ and âillegal.â In the following priceless video clip, Gabbard accuses the CIA of arming the very same terrorists who The White House insists are "our sworn enemy" and all but tells the American public that the government is lying to them and may end up inadvertently starting âWorld War III.â

Maybe there is still hope people will wake the hell up, abandon party lines, do and say the right things?
Then why the hell is she a democrat?
All Democrats are evil.
In the immortal words of Laz...
OK, I'll hold my tongue on this one.
Impressive. This is one Congresswoman who really seems to have her act together. Why haven’t we heard of her before???
Because it’s nearly impossible to be elected as a Republican in Hawaii.
LOL
you are very kind. you’re welcome
She makes me want to reach across the aisle.
:-)
Oh, baby. LOL
In order to get Obama on board, Putin should have offered his help against the Tea Party.
there was a time when a D after a candidate’s name did NOT mean s/he was a traitor or would undermine American defenses, jobs, allies, morale, or morals.
Basically, you voted D if you wanted government to do something more “for us” ... and you voted R if you believed, as most of us here do, that government was already too powerful.
or something like that. But you COULD vote for many D candidates without feeling you were abetting traitors or... more modernly, enemy agents working to undermine America and American citizens’ liberties.
Then, an evil “conspiracy type” gang took over the D party central machine. However this should properly be phrased, its sort of a communist/IslamoNazi anti-American attack force. And we reach today.....
My question also. My theory is that she has strong conservative beliefs, but she could not get elected as a Republican. Note to other Republicans: If you are genuinely conservative, quit the GOP, join the Democrat Party and run as stealth liberals. Then when you get to D.C., vote 100% conservative.
The CIA should be dissolved. The United States doesn’t need a foreign espionage group that is neither mentioned in the Constitution and is probably completely illegal. Its original intent was to counter the likes of the Soviet KGB which no longer exists (Russia’s FSB is quite a different animal). No single group has been more detrimental to the US in the last 60 years than the CIA. They do nothing but cause trouble.
That would do it alright. Btw, have seen news of the Saudi prince who intends to spend upwards of 32B inside the US on promoting ISLAM? How many Washington critters, university academia, and etc will 32 BILLION dollars buy?
About time this was called what it is: illegal
And you're right, IMO. Our efforts to "fix" things shouldn't cause more harm than we can fix.
Works out to about 598,130.85 for each Senator and House member.
The days of Henry Jackson Democrats seem to be a thing of the past. Then again, Sheriff Clarke of Milwaukee is also a Democrat - the only way he could get elected.
