I long for the good old days of Clinton
I recollect I learned about FR from Rush. That would have been about 1999. My birthdate is 2000 but I had a name tag here lost to posterity before Amos the Prophet. A few years ago I decided that name was presumptuous and Jim helped me change to my actual name.
This has been my central source of wisdom, knowledge and social interaction all these years. I will depart FR one of 2 ways. Either I will be zotted by Jim or zotted by God. Either way I go from here to glory.
It’s been a good run. Here’s to the future.

My brother and I drove out from Wisconsin. We left from the AIA after-party and made it back just in time for the Packers kickoff. I don’t recall if I stayed awake for the whole game.
I had just joined FR four days before, after lurking for about a month. I am still in awe of Jim Rob, Kristinn and all the other pioneers on this site!

I was there.
Drove from NJ by myself, having lurked on FR for three months, and I had no idea if anyone else would be there.
Came over the rise by the Washington Monument, and there were thousands of people and flags flying everywhere!
Four thousand people, gathered by the very first Internet call to rally in DC, thanks to Jim Robinson.
Just to know there were thousands who wanted Clinton impeached for his crimes and moral depravity did wonders for me that day.
Saw Ann Coulter, Rejoyce, Alan Keyes, and a couple of other big names speak.
Seven weeks later to the day, Clinton was impeached—something that had not happened for 130 years!
And Free Republic was at the center of it.
I’ll be here 17 years on Dec. 30th.
Now, everyone, don’t forget to donate a few bucks to FR. We are only about one third of the way to the goal, and one month in to the Freepathon.
It should be at 100% by now—let’s go!!!
