It is too late to do anything about it without much suffering and bloodshed, but no, it's not to late to do something about it.
It's just not something anyone is going to want to do.
And so, as Cruz said the other night in properly identifying that we are actually having a debate between the Bolsheviks and the Mensheviks as being the elephant in the room are we avoiding a similar elephant in the room here. That elephant being that we are not willing to go to war and shed blood and so, by default, it is too late to do anything about it.
