Bubonic Plague Found in Oregon Teenager
The New York Times ^ | 10/30/15 | CHRISTINE HAUSER

The authorities in Oregon have confirmed a case of the bubonic plague in a teenage girl who was believed to have contracted the disease from a flea bite.

Plague is rare and treatable with antibiotics if caught early, but federal authorities have been puzzled by an increase in cases this year.

In a statement, state and local health officials in Oregon said they thought the girl was infected during a hunting trip on Oct. 16 near Heppner, a city located at the foothills of the Blue Mountains in the northeastern region of the state.

Immigrants used to come for opportunity to MAKE a better life. But our welfare system has changed that to HAVE a better life ( no work except for worshipping at the feet of Democrats). We are longer the no place for independent hard working immigrants.

Immigrants used to come here to escape disease but our enviro greenies have changed that to experience all diseases. We can’t drain swamps, use DDT, thin or eliminate populations of disease infested animals, or restrict disease transmitting activities.

I sometimes apologize to my third world friends for screwing up the last great hope on Earth. Some of them think the old America still exist.

From the article:

She fell ill on Oct. 21 and was hospitalized days later. She is now in the intensive care unit.

There have been no other reported recent cases, the statement said.

Say what? I thought there was supposed to be an uptick in cases.

Well, chances are its not illegal immigrants.

Its more likely that the floods and rains are driving the varmints out of the normal shelter and into more populated areas.

People are not getting fleas from immigrants. Or the immigrants would have the plague.

Transmission
The plague bacteria can be transmitted to humans in the following ways:

Flea bites. Plague bacteria are most often transmitted by the bite of an infected flea. During plague epizootics, many rodents die, causing hungry fleas to seek other sources of blood. People and animals that visit places where rodents have recently died from plague are at risk of being infected from flea bites. Dogs and cats may also bring plague-infected fleas into the home. Flea bite exposure may result in primary bubonic plague or septicemic plague.

Contact with contaminated fluid or tissue. Humans can become infected when handling tissue or body fluids of a plague-infected animal. For example, a hunter skinning a rabbit or other infected animal without using proper precautions could become infected with plague bacteria. This form of exposure most commonly results in bubonic plague or septicemic plague.

Infectious droplets. When a person has plague pneumonia, they may cough droplets containing the plague bacteria into air. If these bacteria-containing droplets are breathed in by another person they can cause pneumonic plague. Typically this requires direct and close contact with the person with pneumonic plague. Transmission of these droplets is the only way that plague can spread between people. This type of spread has not been documented in the United States since 1924, but still occurs with some frequency in developing countries. Cats are particularly susceptible to plague, and can be infected by eating infected rodents. Sick cats pose a risk of transmitting infectious plague droplets to their owners or to veterinarians. Several cases of human plague have occurred in the United States in recent decades as a result of contact with infected cats.

Also, we have to use every weapon against unrestricted immigrant invasion, including fear of possible infection from the filthy hoards.

If you think of the shots you are supposed to get before you go there, well, those are the diseases they may be bringing here (and a few more).

Wolves.

Bubonic plague won’t make it in a refugee.

Thank the agenda 21 pukes for introducing wolves from Canada that carry this and many other diseases, some of which humans get.

Did the imported children from Mexico bring fleas in their backpacks? Mmm, just wait until the Middle Eastern refugees get here, whom the authorities already acknowlege will be impossible to vet. Why not just shut down the CDC? We're not using them any more. CDC employees can wrap their office belongings in the Constitution, since we're not using that any more, either.

Funny how we all immediately pick up on the influx of illegals and musloids as being the explanation for the emergence of BBP. I would not put it past the criminal psychopaths of fedgov to have purposely desired this outcome ... They are that evil, all of them and without exception.
