South Carolina authorities will announce Wednesday that Richland County Senior Deputy Ben Fields, the school resource officer who was caught on camera violently flipping a high school student in her classroom, will be relieved of duty, sources told NBC News.

If I was a cop I would not do jack in fear of being fired.
Violent crime is now free and fair game in Columbia SC.

Now the canonization of the student can proceed.
After that, it’ll never again be possible for any teacher, anywhere, to get a student to turn off a cell phone.
Yet another victory for the idiots, and a further dumbing down of America’s educational institutions - pun intended.
If she had done what she was told off three other adults then the deputy would not have needed to have taken her out by force.
Yet again black kids ignore their adults, show no respect.
This has just happened in our county too.
Black boy known as a trouble maker hit a teacher last year.
Black kid this year again attacked teacher.
Useless deputy she left the school sneaking away from school.
PT teacher and Dean tried to restrain kid and now they are fired and the black family sues school.
Between the two teachers they had over 40 years.
Why do I mention black because some PC idiot mentions racism.
Because there is a large segment in the black population which think they can do anything they want and they know they can now under the fairy boy and these last few years. Supported by white guilt, and black leaders they are having decent people lose their jobs, pension, health care etc. Then they get a load of money by suing.
Every other deputy should walk out on this PC sheriff. They put the deputy in an impossible situation and got the results they were expecting.
No no, if you are white you can still be apprehended.
The girl was told to leave the class. Refusing to do so was an act of criminal trespass.
The administration should have had a BLACK officer in the school to deal with this brat. Had the officer been black, there would have been no issue. The officer was fired for DOING HIS JOB WHILE being WHITE.
Apparently, she was told repeatedly to get up and leave and go to the office or whatever. After she apparently disrupted class and or violated some school policy.
Do the other students in the classroom not have the expectation of a calm classroom?
There are almost 100,000 public schools in the U.S.
This occurrence is so rare as to be irrelevant.
The girl openly and brazenly broke school policy. The teacher and the principal did try to handle it. The student rebelled; that is why the officer was called. She struck at the officer; that is why he reacted the way he did.
If the officer is fired, that school will have just lost its authority to conduct school. The teachers will no longer be able to enforce any discipline.
Guess Obama’s AG is investigating. The cop doesn’t have a chance.
Say what you will, but the kid was no immediate threat and the cop showed poor judgement.
The parents of this twit should be brought up on charges of foisting a menace to society on the rest of us.
Watch it go mainstream. Dropouts going back to school, just so they can kill cops.
