ISIS the best advertisement for the 2nd Amendment.
Never before have I felt so naked.
Now more than ever, I wish I was armed.
And Im not alone.
Any and all home-grown Islamic terrorism should be able, if need be, to be met by a well-armed civilian militia. The United Kingdom has had two beheadings of members of the public in the last two years, with neither Police nor civilians able to prevent it. It has prohibitive gun laws.
With news of the ISIS plot to randomly abduct members of the Australian public and behead them, Australian sentiment on guns is dramatically shifting. It appears Australians are finally understanding the importance of gun ownership, and craving it at a time when the world is increasingly unsafe.
Ill tell you this point blank: Id feel safer in a country where I was legally allowed to carry around a firearm, says J Coughran, 30, a businessman.
According to Coughran, media coverage of Islamic State is fueling the change in heart: This ISIS stuff is seeing quite a few people changing their opinions.. one of my mates told me today- hes coming around on the gun issue. Hes 68 years old, been against guns his whole life- now hes turning around because of these savages.
With Islamic supremacism a mainstream interpretation of Islam, deeply rooted in Islamic scripture and endorsed by many of Islams most influential scholars, Australians are beginning to understand the nature of the Islamic threat, and studying their own weaknesses in its wake.
Australians are looking to America, and not the UK for guidance.
With this sort of threat, the normal calculus of a civilized society with a small, armed (or unarmed) police force upon which the citizens are forced to rely, no longer adds up.
Kyle, 33, believes that Australian gun control is only making Islamic terrorists in Australia safer, and their objectives easier to achieve.
Our lack of self-defense makes us a prime target. It is no surprise to me that home grown terrorism is most rampant in nations with strict gun control.
These guys want to snatch random people in Australia off the street, drape them in the ISIS flag and behead them on camera with an Arabic-emblazoned sword. If I had a gun, Ill tell you what Id do with those swords.
It is times like these that Americans should thank God they have the Second Amendment, and crush any effort or force seeking to weaken or remove it.
Right now, they are the envy of a growing number of Australians that wish they were armed.

Thank your treasonist politicians
If you spent your life fighting gun ownership, you deserve to remain disarmed. you DESERVE to be PREY.
Europe’s the same way. It’s all “noble” to think about gun control, until the SHTF and the government you think is going to save everyone is out for themselves.
The Aussies I know buried their weapons in the yard or in the bush.
About now, I suspect many have been retrieved.
+1,000
No matter who they elect, the Aussies will never get their guns back.
Too bad, so sad. It’s what your politicians thought best for the country and no group/organization fought against it.
We’ve gone full Romans and Visigoths.
The wisdom of our founding fathers continues to amaze me.
I actually hate the word ‘deserved’ as everyone really uses it to mean ‘entitled”. But in the traditional definition, they DESERVE to be disarmed prey at the mercy of those they enabled. 100%
This is what happens went your Government thinks you’re Children
They didn’t learn a darn thing from the Germans did they?
Australia has always had universal registration of all firearms. The po-po knows who has what & where they live.
Hillary wants an Australian-style `final solution’ to gun ownership in the U.S. This isn’t possible since we don’t have to register our guns outside of a few nutcase states.
Get with Diane Feinstein, ol’ Hilly; she’ll tell you how successful she’s been pushing total registration through the Senate.
The gungrabbers want Govags to go door-to-door but that’s not in the cards. Too much pushback & most citizens no longer regard law enforcement as their friend. Rifles behind every blade of grass & in most states, pistols in every pocket. Legally.
Spent four years there. Lot’s of mates have hidden guns, didn’t turn them in way back when requested. Might be some folks are in for a surprise esp. those that wander into the bush (outback as Yanks call it).
And when the time comes most will hand them over rather than lose their big screens and F350s. Not all. Most.
People that are too cowardly to stand on their stated beliefs in a private voting booth are not going to stand up with guns aimed at their families by body armored leftist jackboots.
Thank goodness they hid them. It is the worst kind of tyranny to leave people defenseless.
I’ll bet you have a lot of good memories of Australia. One of the places I would love to visit.
Australia has more guns now than they did before the confiscation. They’re just not semi-autos. You get one of those Ruger 10/22’s in your hands and it makes you crazy. I tell you what.
